The Lady Yotes host the Bluejays an elite 8 NCAA team last year that the Coyotes beat earlier last year in Omaha 73-71. Creighton is ranked 21st this season and just beat state. They return 6 of their top 7 scorers from last season.

Keys will be to play great D, share the ball on O and knock down 3s.

This will obviously be a very tough game, but a good one to play for the team to take steps to grow and get better.

I watched the first half of the CU/SDSU game last night (still available on ESPN+).  I was struck by just how really similar both teams were.  Both are elite Midwest mid-majors with skilled  and smart players, and no massive bigs.  Both teams have decent size at guard, and lots of hybrid-type players.  Both teams wanted to play with tempo, and I feel like this year the Jacks are actually good at it.  It has taken AJ a couple of seasons to kind-of figure out how to do it effectively.  But this year's Jacks team was swarming on both ends of the court.  Creighton, while a little smaller overall, matched the intensity blow-for-blow. 

This is basically the same Creighton team that went toe-to-toe with our "big three" team last year.  I'm not expecting a win here, but this Coyote team did look really good offensively against an inferior opponent, so no outcome would surprise me.  I'm hoping we can continue to develop some cohesiveness on defense.  I think we will.  These are mostly players with experience in Coach P's System, which was defensively very technically sound.  We just need to have everyone figure out their new roles.

I don't understand how a computer model can exist when there basically isn't data available yet.

Massey uses last year’s data at first, then gradually blend in this year.

Basically the same as a preseason poll. Not worth much.

Grace Larkins could make a lot of money as a hustler. She doesn’t looks like she should be capable of what she does on the court.

2: hopefully our defense gets better, cause outside of a few timely stops we fell apart in the 2nd

Creighton is a really good team and we’ve just had a bunch of deficiencies exposed.

An up-tempo game amplifies a win, or it can amplify a loss, too. That’s true in basketball, football, and some other sports I’m not thinking of.

Lots of talent on this team, but lots of stuff to figure out, too. I’m pretty optimistic about finishing in the top-2 this year, but “more is possible”, as the tee-shirts say…
