If you can hoop, you can hoop.
When it comes down to it, the final arbiter on that is a one-person test carried out in solitude anyway.

Great tournament to get into!
No field announced yet, but this usually draws top teams.

Great tournament to get into! No field announced yet, but this usually draws top teams. This announcement was made during the red tie event but was known sometime during the NCAA tournament. I was told that as of that time, 2 of the 3 opponents were still playing in the tournament. Of course, the schedule could always change.

These are amazing opportunities for our women and great recruiting selling points as well. We'll likely get a couple tough tests down there to start the year but they will set us up for success later. Very excited for our ladies to go on this trip!

Teams included Gonzaga, UCLA, Louisville, Tennessee, Rutgers, Texas, and Marquette.

That's some pretty elite company. I hope next year's team is up to it. It is a great opportunity to see where we measure up. I'd like to see a Mt. Marty or Midland Lutheran there also so we're not too shell shocked.

Talked to some of the girls at calling all coyotes. They sound ready for the season coming up with a full team this year

Looks like we'll be getting a home and away with some schools out of the Big Sky starting this fall. Good partnership, not likely to do much for the NET ranking but some good non-conference games that are winnable for us.

I feel pretty good about our chances if they match us up with the 4th-best Big Sky team...

I feel pretty good about our chances if they match us up with the 4th-best Big Sky team... Well, you did lose to the 5th and 9th place Big Sky teams last year...

I think there are a lot of reasons to believe this team will be significantly better next year. Obviously time will tell.

Heck we lost to Montana State. So the point is we can't really act like the SL is some huge step better than the Big Sky.

Heck we lost to Montana State. So the point is we can't really act like the SL is some huge step better than the Big Sky. I was pretty much commenting on our own situation, not the Big Sky's or the Summit's or for that matter the Rabbits'. With that having been said, how in the hell DID the rabbits lose that game to Montana State? Probably your worst loss on the season. The likely scenario where next season we are significantly better than both our final NET ranking (#253) and our conference finish (4th), in probably our worst season of the past decade, leads me to believe that we should be favored in that game. I don't think that's an unreasonable or cocky assumption. Just the reality. In an average recent year, I think the Big Sky and the Summit would have matched up pretty competitively, with the top 1 or 2 Summit teams usually being better than the top 1 or 2 Big Sky teams, and the BS maybe having the edge with the mid-range teams? Would be an interesting RPI/ conference finish/ Head-2-Head study. I'd do it right now, but I'm a little tied up at work. Maybe later this week. Somebody involved with this series concept probably already did a comparison, and determined that there is an equivalency of some kind between the conferences. Would make sense.

Montana Griz beat the yotes last year in vermillion. They celebrated like it was their biggest win ever. This year it will be different
