tie game. We literally can't cover anyone. Book is out on how to beat us. Up to the offense to win the game. Our defense isn't going to stop them again.

This game is on Nielsen. He's bungling right now. 4th and 2 on their 39 and we punt even though our defense is terrible right now.

Unfortunately, just got to the game because of work. At what point, is everyone going to realize that the ball needs to be in Bell’s hands as much as passing game possible. I’ve said it over and over and over again for multiple years, that dude is a huge play waiting to happen every time he touches the ball past 5 yards. It ain’t neuroscience.

We got really lucky. Kicker came through. Maybe it's a sign. We didn't have our best today, but maybe we're finally good enough to overcome our mistakes. In that past we have not been able to do that in conference games. This team is pretty good. We certainly have flaws, especially in the defensive backfield, but we are good enough to be a playoff team and will be if we just take care of business.

Leyland has made some clutch kicks this year. With the way our defense was looking in the second half I was really doubting the decision to punt but I guess it worked out. That would have been a crushing defeat after being up by 21 points.

Talk about pulling one out of our ass, but whatever it takes. My heart's still pounding. My big question: What happened to Thomas and Theis? Thomas has been suited up and on the sidelines the past two games and looks fine walking around and then Theis same thing second half and didn't see the field. Sure didn't look like either was injured and our running game went to hell the second half.

Attended my first game this year. Was a fun game! Wish more people would have been there to enjoy. When the dome is empty it’s an energy vacuum.

Just got home from the game. Crowd was smaller than I had hoped but the people there were pretty engaged for the most part. As for the game itself, we had some fortunate things go our way, but I wouldn't call it a lucky win by any means. If anything, YSU was lucky to get back in it. Defensively, we gave up about 5 big plays. If we stop 2 or 3 of those, it's a 3 score victory. The two long TDs, the 4th down pass that we really should have picked when we leveled their QB, then a couple 3rd down conversions. Those plays accounted for most of their points.
Offensively, I thought we played a great game. Need to run with more consistency, but overall I'm really happy with it.

Random thoughts:
After the first half and the start of the 3rd I was thinking we're rolling these bitches from Youngstown. To their credit they fought back hard. My seats are front row right on their sideline and believe me, those guys never quit.
Hats off to the Penguins, they fought hard. That's a good football team.
I still believe the Yotes are far better and had no business letting them back into the game.
In the end, this team found a way to execute, guy it out, and get the win. As was mentioned earlier in this thread, we might be at a point where even when we don't play our cleanest or best game we find a way to win. I'll take that.
Finally, it's not the numbers that show up at the Dome it's how loud they are. That place can get loud with only 2,000 screaming their heads off. There were times in that game where the crowd noise rolled down like thunder from behind where I was.
In the end, I was entertained. That was fun.
