But the loss of eyeballs has to be made up for in dollars. Otherwise there's no reason to do it. I've gone from being literally the largest consumer of Summit League men's and women's basketball that I know over the last decade to having watched a couple SDSU men's games, one UND men's game and bits and pieces of the USD women this season. And I have a feeling I'm not alone. Fair enough. But I would posit that as a self-professed longtime and avid consumer of Summit League basketball, the fact that you are not willing to pay $10 a month (during the basketball season) to have unlimited access to those games puts you in a very narrow demographic.

In my opinion, having all conference games, home and away, for all teams available from a single source, is well worth the $10/month price for the SLN. In prior years, any games at SDSU, NDSU & Denver, with the exception of those broadcast by Midco and WDAY, sat behind a paywall. Now, they are all available on SLN and I no longer need to jerry rig ways to get the games on my TV.

Maybe. But yeah, an extra $40 or $50 and another subscription to watch what I was watching before (with the added bonus of getting what, Summit League swimming and diving? Indoor track and field?) as an avid fan of Dakotas basketball is not worth it to me.
And I doubt that I'm alone.

I WILL say that the Midco Sports + app on my iphone is shitty and does not work. I suspect that it needs a fix of some sort (as many apps do). But my Roku apps on my home TVs work fine, and I can also stream on my phone from the browser (MCS+ website)... So it's not perfect, but well worth it for me.

Plus the SLN gives me access to other less popular sports, like track and field. That's probably not a big bonus to most, but it's great for families (like mine) who have kids in those sports. And you can watch replays, which is great if you have a busy schedule. Once football is over, I'll probably cancel ESPN+ until next fall.

There seems to be vastly different experiences with the phone app. Mine has worked flawlessly but apparently that's not a universal experience.

I have no problem with the ap on my IPhoneSE. I often use it on games I attend in person, especially volleyball. The stream is typically about 10 - 20 seconds behind live action, which makes a great way to review close calls.

Men's League Waterboy - all debate aside, I hope you subscribe to the SLN as I enjoy your commentary on the BB games. Heck, maybe you can get your wife and kids to buy you a subscription as a Christmas present.

There's literally no way my family does anything to increase my basketball consumption, unfortunately.
Also, if I'm being honest, the lack of a real Top 25-type team on the women's side and the loss of Abmas, Nelson and Rhode on the men's side has also made me far less likely to add a subscription to my already overly full subscription service platter.

DePerry in the starting lineup. Felt inevitable.

Best 5 minutes this team has played in a long time. Now we’re cooking.

Doing ok except 4 missed fts on 2 attempts each, giving up several dribble drives (easiest shot in bb) plus a dumb foul twice when beat.

All that adds up to a lot of points!
