What are the chances that Mike would be interested in that opening? Hopefully not much. Would hate to lose him.

Maybe a good walk-on candidate? She's been on the roster five years, but the first was a redshirt so I think she could technically have a 6th year. She did go through senior day though. I would think Katie Bourk would be a strong candidate for the head job, but I think Mike Jewett could be as well, if he was interested in being a head coach now. Of course, it didn't sound like they interviewed him last year.

I think Augie burned quite a few bridges with the way they handled the hiring process of Krauth's replacement last year.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Brooke Jensen committed to Augie?

Just looking through twitter follows and likes after the non-specific announcement of the "Yote family getting bigger"... I found a ton of likes from current HS recruits and potential recruits... and I also noticed a recent follow from Coach K, a Current Juco Fresman: Madison Hillman, 6-2 ForwardSaint Ansgar HS, Iowa (Mason City area) Northern Iowa CC twitter.com/MadisonHillman5www.niacctrojans.com/sports/wbkb/2023-24/bios/hillman_madison_nesfLeague Defensive POY 13.6 PPG, 8.4 Reb, 1.5 Stl, 2.4 Blk, 49.7 FG% Had a triple-double including 10 blocks! She was committed to D-II Kearney, but when That Coach left she switched last-minute to something close to home for her.

And I'm pretty sure this is the other. Good work again. Jewett is also following her. DOBO Liz Oswlad came from EIU.

Cool! Yeah, I figured it was more likely a transfer, given the time of year, so I was mainly looking for that.
Hillman for sure fills a need! The other probably depends on her PG abilities and athleticism/defense. Or 3-point shooting.
For my money I wouldn’t have minded keeping NAA around for another year, but I will never know what goes on behind the scenes. Maybe she is just wanting to be done.

Looking at some Hudl highlights, Hillman has nice footwork in the post. She doesn’t put the ball on the ground on post passes, keeps her hands high. I also like her hook shot and mid-range jumper. When the defender expects a drive and you pop a jump-shot instead,…. That can be effective.
