As with most recruits, it's hard to know how effective they will be at the D1 level. Hillman is essentially a high school recruit, with one year of JC experience. It was a productive year, though I think you said that she had plans to go to D2 Kearney before going the JC route. If she's 6-2 and can really play, then why wasn't there D1 interest before? Of course, players can and do slip through cracks all the time, or develop at a different pace. Just saying it's OK to be skeptical until we see her on the floor next season. I'd be curious to know the level of D1 interest she had after what she did this year.
Monahan looks like a player with pedigree. She has averaged about 5 assists per game each of the last two years. She was a finalist for Miss Basketball in Minnesota three years ago at Glencoe-Silver Lake. She has one year of eligibility left.
NAA is a medical biology major. I suspect she has academic reasons for not using her 5th year.

One of the coaches commented on how disciplined NAA was to balance the time required to play hoops and study for the MCAT at the same time. I believe her plans are to enroll in med school next year, which leaves no time for basketball.

Looking at Madison‘s Twitter, it looks like you’re getting a very good player. She was on the All Iowa Attack AAU team that beat Cal Stars to win the Championship at Boo Williams two years ago. That alone says a lot. She’s also a top ranked shotputter in the state of Iowa, which takes strength and discipline. She has a lot of mentions from 5 State Hoops, PGHIowa, and others, but it looks like she did not post any offers, as some girls do not. I’m guessing the decision to go to Kearney was a personal one - I know of a couple players that turned down mid major offers to play D2 closer to home for various reasons. Time will tell, but I see good things in her future.

As 90 said, Monahan has been the starting PG for the past two seasons at EIU, and has averaged 5.0 assists a game in that time, playing over 30 min/game.
She has also averaged an A/TO ratio of 1.49! Not bad. Doesn't look like she is an elite-level scorer, but she does shoot 77% from the stripe, and if she is a distributor with good ball security... that will go a long way to compliment Larkins and Holmes.

That's all well and good but I only have one question about our new transfers coming in....Can they keep the ballhandler in front of them on defense? Scoring is great but this team has had serious defensive problems the past two seasons. An elite defender or two would make a world of difference. We can't just focus on offensive production, we need to bring in some stoppers.

Coral Mason reminds me a lot of the Arens sisters. I really hope we see some great development of our young, recruited talent like Coral, Avery, and Addison this off season. Kieffer is going to be a good one! I do too, but right now the starting lineup is pretty much set with upperclassmen, so I'm wondering how much time will be available. Injuries could obviously factor in, but basically the top 8 are set.

Do you think the point guard they added today that has averaged 5 assists per game each of the past two years will come off the bench? Do you think the JC transfer with one year of experience will start ahead of Mazurek? Do you think one of the incoming freshmen will start ahead of Duffney? I mean, I guess I hope that one of the freshmen can force that. I think Klosterbuer can be a big scorer, so I'd love to see her force her way in. But I wouldn't bet on it.

If the incoming transfers and younger class can show that they deserve to start over an upper classmen I see no reason why they can’t start over them. Basing your starting line up off of who has been here the longest vs who is best equipped to get us a win isn’t necessarily a winning strategy. I want the best rotation at all times on the floor, I don’t care if that means a senior has to come off of the bench or rarely plays.

I think that's one thing the coach of the school up north does real well. I hope that happens. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I think only one starting spot on next year’s team is set in stone. All other minutes could and should be up for grabs.
