I'm about to puke reading all the apathetic "tip my cap to them" and "great game" posts on the FCS pages. Fuck them. We are the better team and pissed away the game. I have zero respect for them. Maybe check the stats a little and pump the brakes. You guys lost in total yards, TOP, and had one offensive TD. The scoop and score got you into the game. Did you have a definate game winning chance, yes. But to say you are the "better" team is a stretch. Have a good evening. |

These drive me crazy to think about. A win last night helps shift perceptions in our region and boost our national profile. So close to a statement win, but I have to let go and move forward. We know where we stand. This team has proven to be a bona fide contender for the national championship. This is the first time I have ever felt that way about USD football. The road to a title is easier if you sweep the conference and get a top 2 seed (and maybe we still get that if we win out), but we can win anywhere. Did it in Fargo last year. Should have done it in Brookings last night. I'll welcome a trip to Bozeman if it comes our way. Pick our heads up. Win the next 3 games and we win a MVFC title. Might even earn homefield advantage in the playoffs. I know we can do it. |
