Let's get the Alerus monkey off our back and set up for a conference championship game next week.
We are the better team and it's frankly not close. Take care of business boys.

Early line is Yotes +10, which shocks me given how they've played lately and what we just did to Indiana State, who beat them the week before. Must be something to do with how we've played in Grand Forks.
We got the Youngstown monkey off our back. Just take care of business and we'll get this one off the back too, in convincing fashion.

Did you mean -10? Are we really 10 pt dogs? Excuse me while drive over to Iowa and bet the house.

The stats comparison from back-to-back weeks for Indiana State is wild.

Yotes are -10. 10 points favorites. Still, only 10?

Yotes are -10. 10 points favorites. Still, only 10? That makes more sense. I'm actually ok with that line. I still think we cover, but the Alerus center scares the crap out of me. We have seen some epic collapses in that building. This team is different, but I'm still being cautious.

A simple review of conference stats shows that UND prefers to run the ball about 60-65% time but are very middle of the conference for yards/attempt in both categories (they're very average at almost everything). Lucky for them, we are elite at stopping the run. The only stat category that really stands out to me for them is that they have a poor 3rd down defense.
All in all, I don't want to be cocky, but barring explosive plays, turnovers, and penalties, we should be able to win handily without doing anything out of the norm. Easier said than done.

I'm told we haven't won in Grand Forks since 1985. UND is a different team at home.

It is really hard to judge this game. For starters, we just crushed the team that beat UND. When you look at UNDs game against State, it is kind of a fluke. State scored 28 points in the second quarter, but only 10 in the other 3.
I do believe USD has the ability to win by 30+, but it is senior day and it is UND at the Alerus.

We need to run the ball, protect the ball, and stop the run. They are giving up 222 yards on the ground in league play, only better than Murray State. We are allowing 85 yards rushing. End every drive with a kick. Watch out for trick plays. Have good kick protection, as we had a punt blocked there 2 years ago.
