Jimmy Glow another example of a good player, not so good coach. Good players do not equate to good coaches in many instances. I am affraid if we end up with Wes at OC and anyone questionable at all on DC (definately including Glow) than things may not turn around or improve as much as we hope they will. We can't repeat the same mistakes by going with less than ripe coordinators. It certainly appears that Glenn is going to be a very good coach for USD but there is room for some questioning on some things. I can also understand others that make arguments that going in another direction would have been ok as well. If it's true that Glenn is only going to make 126K than that is actually troubling to me. How much was USD really willing to pony up for a head coach? from what i remember as a coach jim glow was as full of passion for coyote football as anyone, and was proud to be a coach on his old team he has a great passion for the game and a hard nose high enegy mentality, i think he has a lot of the same qualities as j glen does that doesnt mean that i think he is going to be the next def co im just saying geeze!

People, do not forget that JG is, himself, an offensive guy. It isn't like Wes will have cart blanche. This is a good move. Stop trying to find holes in what is going on. Ed said himself that he should have promoted Wes to OC earlier than he did.

Ultimately I trust what Sayler and/or Glenn want to do but there is an amount of risk taken with Wes as OC compared to a more experienced outsider. If everything works out with Wes, great. If not I think Glenn and the program do open themselves up for some critisism if the offense continues to struggle like it has been. I will support Wes as OC but hopefully we will get a more experienced DC to take over.

Crickets...
I will stick to my prediction that Jason Petrino will be the new DC at the U, however, I am holding out hope that the longer we go without an announcement, the more our chances of luring Mike Breske to the U increase. I won't hold my breath though.

I didn't make it to the Coyote Landing on Saturday night prior to the women's UNC game, but was told that the new DC and offensive line coach were both up there with Joe for the meet and greet.
Anyone have any knowledge that this is true or false?

Sure there were coaches. The question is was there a new DC at the event?

Glad to see my Petrino info was solid. Any idea who the OL coach is?

Is the offense going to change under JG or stay the same? What did JG run while at No. Colo and Montana?

I went and visited with Glow when he was still at USD and have traded a few e-mails with him now that he's at Simpson. He's a class act. He's knowledgeable and passionate about the game and wants to coach kids to get them better. I don't know if he's looking to go to the D1 level, but he's a solid coach and person.

Not sure who the OL coach is, but heard he is like 6'8 and big. Hopefully he will be good.
