With the football season dwindling down to an end and the first practices starting, i figured I would make a topic about this season's players/upcoming games. So, here goes nothing...
Starters:
We all know that Trevor's spot is pretty well set in stone, since he has been doing so for the past 2 years
Juevol Myles (Transfer from Kstate) is looking to take the point guard position, he is a great leader on the court and has a great basketball IQ
Steve Tecker will more than likely get the start as well, getting solid play time since he was a freshman. Hopefully he can stay healthy and not have the injury bug affect him
Casey Kasperbauer is looking to be in the starting rotation after putting up good numbers in Canada. I did think that he would be too small to play, but he has filled out, and he can shoot the ball very well
It is up in the Air between Tyler Flack, Tyler Larson, and Karim Rowson. All have their own attributes. Flack, being 6'7 with ridiculous bounce, can finish well at the rim, and can go up and throw it down on command. Tyler larson is a solid passer, spotty jumpshot, and has great athleticism, he will be able to contribute. Karim Rowson reminds me a lot of Allan St. Gelais, where he can slash to the rim and lock down on defense. I think he has a better jumper than Allan though.
Hopefully there will be some solid bench contributions from Jared Bartling, Brandon Bos, Adam Thoseby, Jordan Boots, and Eric Robertson. But, we all know that when conference starts, Boots only plays 7 players .
The game that bothers me the most is of course, the state game. When the Yotes go to Frost, school will be in session, making it a hostile drunken environment for us. then, when they come play in the Dome, it will be Christmas break. If some of you remember, the crowd was credited for being loud and into the entire game ( something that rarely happens)
Those are my thoughts, hope you enjoyed it!
