Lets hope the men's team can keep it up and this is what they needed. Iupui is in trouble with young gone. This was a win that usd needed in this fashion. Myles is a stud and if usd can continue to play defense, it will be a very good team. Now it's time to beat the hawks. Iowa is pretty good but I know how happy you would be if the Yotes could pull that game out. Tonight Tyler Flack barely was visable (somewhat due to foul trouble) so getting him going again would be even nicer for the prospects of this team. Ideally what would be nice is to be in the opposite bracket of SDSU. If the Jacks are first in the Summit (which is certainly not a given since they have not been playing well this season) I would like to see the Yotes maybe slide into that #6 spot in the tourney. I think this would be a nice draw for the Yotes if SDSU does win the league. 1. SDSU 2. NDSU 3. IPFW 4. Western Illinois 5. Oakland 6. USD 7. UMKC 8. IUPUI If not maybe something like this 1. Western Illinois 2. NDSU 3. SDSU 4. IPFW 5. USD 6. Oakland 7. UMKC 8. IUPUI The nice thing is that no matter what happens from here on out the Coyotes have to at least concentrate on playing well at home. I think the Sioux Falls Arena could end up being a better home court advantage for USD than the Dakotadome has been. I think their will be more USD fans for that tourney than at home at least I would hope so.

Iowa men's basketball and pretty good hasn't been used in the same sentence in a decade. They lost to Campbell last year and while they have improved, va. Tech blew them out in the acc/big ten challenge.
Logic......while the game is in iowa's favor, they are not pretty good.

When it comes to the University of Iowa it's difficult for you to say you have an unbiased approach to them. Who's the better team this year Iowa or Iowa State?

Without a doubt Iowa state. I am prett unbiased about it to. Just because I am an Iowa state doesn't mean I let that cloud my judgement. Iowa is going to be lucky to get by uni. If it weren't for drake, they would be the worst team in the state. Maybe you should look at the past few years for Iowa. Goes back to your lack if sports knowledge.

I knew you would say Iowa State but I am affraid something doesn't quite agree with that.
Real Time RPI
Iowa 76 Iowa State 197
That is a fairly significant spread to be without a doubt that Iowa State is better. They aren't so far this year.

Iowa state is better, early season rpi means nothing lol. Also, how wrong is that since Iowa hasn't played a top 25 team but byu, Cincinnati and unlv are all better than anyone Iowa has faced this year lol. Gosh you really know nothing do you?

My lack of sports knowledge, that is a funny one. I am basically going to bring facts to the debate. I think the RPI is a better judge of that than your opinion. I honestly don't even care that much but I know you do. My favorite major team is Minnesota and they are better than both this year.

Iowa State SOS 266 Iowa SOS 86
The numbers say that so far Iowa has played the much tougher schedule so far. Man oh man those facts can really suck. You say Iowa hasn't played anyone yet but cummulatively they have played a tougher schedule than the Cyclones. You might as well quit this argument while you aren't too far behind.
As of now Iowa is better than Iowa State. By the end of the season, who knows but I will predict that Iowa will end up with the better RPI, but that I don't really know, just a wild guess.
This argument just goes to show that by myself not being close to the situation makes me look at thing more objectively than you do. You have way too much passion involved to make the right call here. I think the same can be said when it comes to being too vested into a particular thing. The more vested someone is in something the more of a biased approach they tend to have.

Minnesota is better than both this year, I agree with that, but your lack if sports kniwledge is also true. I live in Iowa and no one has called Iowa pretty good in quite some time. The rpi is a joke, which is why the debate has been to get rid of it. Don't worry, I bet that awful showing against witchita state and va. Tech means nothing lol. This just shows your post are badically hog wash lol.

you don't even know about my knowledge of sports so how do you know how lacking it actually is. I would be willing to compete with you in that area. How about a fantasy baseball league, maybe we could have a contest where we pick NFL game, NBA. I would be more than willing to put your assumption to a test.
When I compete I win often because I know how to calculate stats, trends etc and make them into sound judgements and sound predictions. I win contests because I use objectivity and do not put personal biases in the way.
I think it would be fun to put our sports knowledge to the test. We just have to find out the correct and fair way to do that.

Hey, the rpi is so great, Colorado is the third best team in the nation! I don't just use RPI as an example. That is just one factor but it is kind of a telling example. I use plenty of factors in decision making. There is no guarantee who will be better between Iowa State and Iowa at the end of the year but right now the objective person is going to pick Iowa. That is what the numbers say.

Lol I play tons if fantasy sports and I know that isn't the best judge of knowledge of sports lol. Huge difference between fantasy and real life lol. Hey don't worry though, I am sure Stephen f. Austin will win the bball title lol.

This is the whole point of this argument. It starts basically by you saying without a doubt that Iowa State is better. Than you question my sports knowledge. Than I throw out pertinant numbers that make my argument look better. You still claim that your sports knowledge it better. I am not going to say one way or another because I don't really know the extent of your sports knowledge. You said Iowa State was much better than Iowa. I guess you must be right since your sports knowledge is much better.
