Some talk on Twitter & other message boards about the Roos hopping to the WAC. If true, there must be some other moves in the works.

So venturing around the web I am reading all sorts of stuff how the Summit is imploding. Rumors that NDSU and SDSU are going to the Valley. OK. OK. After I got done laughing at that rumor I would like to remind people that SDSU and USD are firmly attached at the hip as a package. Remember when we had that Big Sky invite and we were pulled back into the Summit by the BoR because that move would hurt State and destabilize the Summit? Yeah, well, you think State is going anywhere without the U after that? Didn't think so.

I have no idea what UMKC is thinking here. Their sports aren't exactly good right now, let alone to go to the WAC, even though the WAC is in shambles. UMKC might be lining up to be one of the stupidest schools in the country right now.

I thought the WAC was dead? The WAC still has a pulse, but I am not certain if there is any brain activity. The new members in and the old members that are leaving does not have the appearance of a strong conference. It seems too many are paranoid in today's shifting conferences and the confidence of their own situation is shaken for no reason by the potential movement of a weaker program in the league. The Summit has been growing stronger with its changes.

UMKC might be lining up to be one of the stupidest schools in the country right now. This. Moving from a half-way-stable Summit to a rickety, on-the-verge-of-losing-their-autobid WAC is a very, very strange move (assuming that the rumors are true and they are in fact moving--this assumes facts not yet in evidence however). The Argus-Leader's Vandrovec tweeted that UMKC will have "some kind of release", probably tomorrow. If they were definitely going, I'd expect a press conference, not just "some kind of release." I guess we'll find out tomorrow one way or another.

Maybe it wouldnt just be NDSU and SDSU getting invited to the MVC. Mabye USD would also get invited. If Creighton leaves, thats 9 teams. Add 3 would make 12

Unlikely to be the last Summit move--UMKC has to know something...especially since there is no press conference until Feb 14th.

With how their sports perform, they really haven't known that much for quite some time....

Dust off the Big Sky Conference application, if the Missouri Valley takes the 2 "Hate States" and the Summit implodes?

Dust off the Big Sky Conference application, if the Missouri Valley takes the 2 "Hate States" and the Summit implodes? . What does wiu do if the above happens? wiu would more than likely go to another all sports conference. That would then leave the mvc football schools in a possible bind.
