If the Yotes play their game they will be in the finals. They match up well with IUPUI which will bode well in the 2nd round should they make it that far.

Part of Coach Amy Williams' post game comment:
“It is a very big deal. When I think about it, I kind of feel humbled to think about the coaches that have come before me and the way some didn’t get the opportunity to participate in this tournament."
Great Job Coach! As much as we admired what Ryun Williams did before you, we are extremely proud of what you - and your players - have accomplished this year!

I really like Amy Williams as a coach. She is so fiesty on the sidelines always standing up for her kids and usually getting the best from her kids. Good stuff. If this program continues to take her personality on the court we will be in good shape.
I felt much better as a USD supporter on Sunday afternoon than I did on Saturday Night. NDSU prodded their way to a 35-30 lead before the fatal 18 to nothing run put this game very much on thin ice for NDSU. The ice broke for the Bison as they could never recover from that run. USD outscored the Bison 41-16 over the last 13 minutes or so to really put a statement on the game. The USD band was very good taking a page from the Western Illinois crowd on Saturday. The USD fans were cheering a little louder, but honestly it helps when the opponent isn't putting on the smoothering defense that was applied by the Leathernecks last night.
I look forward to the game against IUPUI on Tuesday at 2:30PM. Take a half day off work and enjoy what should be a good game. I don't know how many tickets are left since SDSU fans will also be there again. If it is a sell out Midco will have the game as will Fox College Sports channel 623 on Direct TV.

Coach Williams is a class act. That was a fine representation of USD Coyotes athletics!
I'm not sure what was said in the huddle down 35-30, but she should bottle that up and sell it.
I especially thought the reference to the past shows that Coach W has a clear understanding of where the program has been and where it's going!
Great time to be a Yote!!!!
Across the board Yote fans, Womens BB, Mens BB, Track & Field, Womens SB, Mens FB, the whole deal, programs are being built, not just to be a D1 program, but to be a winning program. It's gonna be a lot of fun in the next few years!!!

Another good win for the Yotes against IUPUI. I like the way the Yotes try to get up the court. They are always looking down court for the pass that gave them a wide open layup. There was maybe 2 times that the long pass was intercepted but about 8 others where the result was a wide open layup.
People don't usually notice a team when they are making their layups but during the Summit Tourney the Coyotes have been very effective making their layups and shorter shots in general. Usually a team will have a few rimouts on those types of shots but I can't really remember many if any short shots that didn't drop at least ones where no foul was called.
Sam Mehr has done a very nice job providing some clutch 3 pointers off the bench. I believe I heard she hit 7 of them over the first 2 games. Seekamp is a good player, period. She is the scorer that is badly needed. The offense is general looks good right now especially considering the type of defense that IUPUI was playing, which was strong.
USD continues to be a second half team which in almost all cases is a great quality to have. I also consider good second half teams as well coached teams.
It would be so nice to be able to complete a dream season with a new coach and so many injured players but I think tomorrow is probabaly the day that ends that dream. The Jacks are very good and are used to being here. They might be slightly more rested and the bench depth will probably be in their favor as well.
My heart wants 68-61 Yotes
My head says 73-56 Jacks
