You're right. USD does not make ice cream or mix feed rations for pigs and cows. I will take our list of famous alumni over the bunnies any day of the week. Al Neuharth-Founder of the USA today Joe Foss-Commissioner of the American Football League, President of the National Rifle Association, Tom Brokaw Dan Crippen Ernest Lawrence-Manhatten prjoect, UC Berkeley, Chemical Element Lawrencium is named after him Pat Obrien-ET Entertainment Tonight Joe Robbie-Former Owner of the Miami Dolphins (Joe Robbie Stadium) To drop a few big names. This does not include every single lawyer, doctor, politician, or anyone else important in SD. The bunnies have half of the Briggs and Stratton engine (and a small half I might add) a lie about cookies and cream ice cream, and Kristi Noem.

I enjoy good smack as much as anybody, but using famous alumni is a useless exercise. Both USD & SDSU have produced a long list of successful and famous alumni. Both have served the State of South Dakota very well.
But enough of that. GoYotes & HateState

SDSU isn't a bad school by any means, but it sure as heck doesn't give the same launching pad as USD does for its graduates. Look at how small of a percentage of their students are pursuing graduate degrees up there, kind of speaks for itself.
What was their old tag line, "You can go anywhere from here"? Was there fine print after that adding "as long as you finish your academic career at USD"?

My Bachelor of Science degree has given me tremendous earning power and a fine lifestyle without the need for an additional degree. Without another degree on top of a USD undergrad degree, that must not be the case. You said it yourself. Is the first day of speech class at USD still dedicated to the question, " Would you like fries with that?"

You know things are bleak when you resort to name dropping Pat O'Brien as some sort of smack. LMAO

Ag school in an ag state, nothing more. Their programs are nowhere near our level and you'd be hard pressed to get an argument that amounts to more than "nu-uh"
