Still disappointed that we lost yesterday, I hope the players have an easier time getting over it than I am. There was a lot of good to take away from our performance, and if we play up to that level again against Montana we'll definitely come away with a win.

Anyone know the extent of Tyler Wilhem's injury from yesterday? Also does anyone know if we have any other running backs active besides Bouma and Roberts?

Ben Gardener is listed at RB but to my knowledge has not played this year. He is 5'10" 220 and a redshirt freshman from AZ. I wouldn't burn kilgore's redshirt now that USD is out of the playoff hunt no matter what. I would put JVM at RB before I would do that.

Ok. I had to do it. I had to change the v.s. to vs. It was driving me crazy.
Anyways, get ready for the Griz invasion. no doubt we'll have a few Griz fans visiting the site. I'm wondering how many are going to make the road trip to Vermillion?

Listening to the radio report tonight Joe Glenn shared the following:
Still not sure on the playing status of the players dinged up. They are all getting treatment and the head trainer will tell Glenn what he thinks before practice Tuesday.
Roberts had a sprained knee and ankle Saturday. Bouma is still having shoulder/nerve pain.
Glenn mentioned that Kilgore (true freshman RB from Kansas City) wants to play and very well might play. Joe said we will really like what he can do - fast and strong. I guess if you have to burn a kids redshirt with only three games left because nobody else can go, you have to. Would rather not if at all possible.
Wilhelm (TE) had a sprained ankle Saturday and Barkley (TE) has a swollen knee that forced him out of the game Late Saturday. Matt Miller (RS FR) will be playing a lot if the other guys are out. Miller has a lot of potential but asking one guy to play the whole game at TE would be limiting for USDs offense.

When in doubt, burn the redshirt. Live for this season, not next. Next year will take care of itself.

I predict a close Griz win (something like 24-21) Our pass offense has been great lately Our run offense has been pretty terrible Our pass defense has been pretty terrible Our run defense has been decent Our kicking game is all over the place So... yeah, anything could happen out there

I'm going to be in my seat at Coughlin Alumni Stadium watching the Jackrabbits but one of the layers I'll be wearing will be my Montana Griz shirt. * Just kidding. I'd always pull for the Valley against the Sky. * Unfortunately, I received the shirt from a Griz fan teasing me for SDSU's epic fourth-quarter meltdown in Missoula a few years ago.

Sorry, but could not pass on this opportunity. "I always thought Griz fans didn't know Jack."

Eavesdropped on the Montana Grizzlies fan board. Nearly all posters felt the game with the Coyotes was in the bag so to speak. The two biggest reasons for a Griz win were: 1) they are playing for a playoff spot while we are not; and 2) comparative records of both teams - especially in regard to our last two games.
Given we have a relatively large and vocal crowd I say the Yotes win this one, especially if we come out and put a lick on them at the outset. Go Coyotes !!!

I see a letdown game this week to be honest. We have the potential to win this game, but the team will be a little drained after giving everything they had against Youngstown and falling just short. Montana hasn't exactly been dominant this year, and I don't think are quite worthy of their #10 ranking, but are still very good. Our Dome will give them hell, and if Glenn gets his guys up then we can take it, we may have a repeat of last week's high scoring game in store for us.
I picked up my ticket this morning, hoping Joe Glenn can get some revenge for last year on his former team.

I'm going with Montana: 31 USD: 28 Why'd you guys have to go and get good... Oh yeah, because you have our National Champion coach ... I was thinking this would be an easy W at the start of the year but now I'm thinking this may be one of our toughest road tests.... USD could be big time soon. GO GRIZ
