The special teams coach is a liability that needs to be dismissed. Concur.

I am impressed with this team. We have played easily one of the toughest schedules in the nation, and have faired well against everyone. I did not expect this. I am not even upset about this loss at all. I am excited for next week already! Go Yotes! Let Hate State week commence.

It's very frustrating to continue to see USD give away these games. Ya just can't allow a defensive touchdown and a return touchdown to destroy a nicely played football game. If USD was to win one game on the homestand the most important one is still to go and would effectively ruin the Jacks season a week earlier than it would be ruined anyway.

Apparently Bouma had an Xray during the game to see if he had a fractured clavicle but continued to pound the rock. I feel horribly for him about the fumble because he has shown so much heart and pride for the jersey he wears. The kick return for a TD, on the other hand, was very hard to stomach. Don't know whether that was an issue of a blown coaching call or a great athletic feat by their return man. I'm not willing to burn Dave Triplett's son at the stake for all the things that have taken place this season but it's hard to ignore also.

I hope that this team takes all the anger and frustration of being so close to beating some high quality opponents and uses it to beat the (insert whatever four letter word you want) out of the farmer's daughters next week!

I see the Yotes winning this one 31 to 28 with a long FG virtually as time expires. You had it almost right.

Heartbreaking loss again, but in a different way than last week. USD looked the part of a solid team today for most of the game. The defense got the ball thrown deep on them a couple times, but for the most part played well. Three interceptions and good pressure on their QB was awesome. The Griz run was shut down today making them very one-dimensional. Usd moved the ball well on offense.
Bouma is a warrior - the amount of pain he is in and just fighting through it was impressive. His performance today was one of the gutsiest I have seen from a player in my entire life watching football. I really think his fumbles happened because of his injury and pain. Going into the game I thought Kilgore should not have played. Watching Bouma and Roberts trying to play injured today made me change my mind. I think both those players are playing injured and that is a bad idea.
The offensive false starts and holds stalled our drives again in the second half. Those were huge penalties and affected the outcome in a big way.
Special teams needs a new coach. I do not care if he is Dave Tripplett's son or Jim Abbott's son - we have seen his work the past two years and it is not good enough.
So many Coyotes played well today and I really feel sick for them that they didn't get the W.
The attendance today was embarrassing. Lots of people point to the student section, but where are the alumni? Pathetic folks, just pathetic. The announced attendance was nowhere close to accurate btw. If there was 5000 there I would be shocked and at least 600 were Griz fans.
Until the fan base starts caring about more than the SDSU game we have no chance of consistently winning recruiting battles for our best FCS level football talent in SD. They will just head North either to Brookings or more likely to Fargo.
Joe Glenn is a great coach and he is getting these guys to improve. Special teams and injuries are the current road block to taking the next step. Unfortunately I don't see those getting better until next year.

Yea, I came pretty close as did the Yotes but am just heartbroken as a fan and I am heartbroken for the Team that played their guts out. Just like YSU, the Grizz escaped The Danger Dome without a loss that they could have easily had. Hopefully, over the next 10 years or so the Coyotes will get way more than their share of these kind of victories. I'll start gearing up for the jackies very soon. Go South Dakota!

Tough loss for you guys today. You gave the Griz far more than we wanted, I know that. You've got a lot to be proud of. I was impressed with your D-Line and with Earl's play.
Win out and get after it next year!

After returning home from watching the SDSU game, I am now watching the recording of the Montana v. USD game. Coach Glenn has a stopwatch and he can be seen timing plays. Just curious: what is his purpose for using the stopwatch? One has to highly respect the guy -- he's proven he knows what he's doing so I know there's a good reason. I have not noticed other head coaches wearing stopwatches. Anyone?
Just finished the first half and the Coyotes looked good. I know the outcome of the game and USD only scored a field goal in the second half so it'll be interesting to see what adjustments etc. were made by the two team who were pretty evenly matched in the first half. The improvement in USD compared to last season is impressive.

Good luck.

Glenn times the punt snap time from center to punter - Luke Groth times the get off time for punts as well as records where the kick lands or is fielded. They do this for both teams.

Going into the game Montana's QB had thrown 24 TDs and 1 INT on the season, and we picked him off 3 times. Defense should be very proud of that, as well as holding them to only 53 yards on the ground. The last score the defense gave up was with 43 minutes left in the game. Hold onto the football and don't give up the kick return and this one would have been easily in hand.
Bouma had an amazing performance today, putting up 147 yards on 25 carries with a TD. He is clearly hurting bad though. I love that the kid can play that well, and fight that hard through such incredible pain, but I don't know if it's necessary or wise. We have what sounds like a perfectly capable freshman that wants to play, and I don't want to see Bouma and Roberts continuing to play injured.
This was a tough loss, it's disappointing to see our record not reflecting our value, but I can not believe how quickly Joe Glenn has turned us into a very good football team. I don't think it was very long after I noted to a friend that we had gone a long time without a turnover that Bouma fumbled. If we win the turnover battle next week and have someone who can run the ball we'll take it.

Wow. That can be meant good and bad in this game. Played a tough game overall. Bouma once again was a warrior playing hurt. He has a lot of guts playing like that. After he and Roberts were out, we are on our what, 5th string running back (also our back up quarterback). I hope someone out there is healthy for next week. What is the story with #26 Ben Gardner? He is a RB and has been in uniform all year. Why can't he play?
Special Teams? Not really sure what to say here. Not sure anyone else noticed, but last kickoff, #7 for Montana who beat us deep all day was back to return for the first time. All of our players were motioning to the sideline to Tripplett that #7 was back to return and they didn't want to kick to him. Tripplett just gave them the thumbs up to kick it deep. What the heck? Come on man. He had 180 some yards and beat us deep all day. Why kick to him?
