100% agree 1234... Hopefully this will be the start of something bigger for USD students next year. A win on Saturday goes a long way toward taking the sting out of the last two weekends in Vermillion for not only the team, but also the fan base. Hopefully our team won't dissappoint and the fair weather students stick around for the whole game and keep you die-hards company.

The student section is sold out - a step in the right direction.

The last two weeks I got my student tickets an hour after they start giving them out, and got ticket numbers lower than 50. This morning I show up 10 minutes before tickets are being issued, and after waiting in line I got ticket number 1,846 and there was still hundreds of people in line. If these people can't go to the other five home games I'd prefer it if they wouldn't come to this one. Fake fans, that's all they are. Season is twelve games long, not one. I would have been seriously pissed if I would have not gotten a ticket to this game after attending all others because of a bunch of bandwagon students. There should be a priority system put in place for those students who are supportive every game.

A step in the right direction would be a respectable showing for some game that wasn't SDSU or the D Days game. Running out of student tickets for the SDSU game is just an embarrassment considering the showing the last three home games.

It is hard to catch the fever if you aren't there. The past is past, hopefully a great game day experience will lead to improved enthusiasm/attendance in the future. I do agree, though, that students who have gone to other games should not be shut out for the SDSU game.

Hmmm, can't go along with any USD student being be shut out if he/she wants to attend. Wonder what gives here. Is this a case for expanding seating in the Dome?
Anyway, as long as any USD student, whether casual or hard core, gets off their rear and cheers loudly during this or any other game, I'm good with that. Also, I believe "extra credit" is due any student making loud vocalizations when the Bunnies have the ball and it's first down.

If they were giving me extra credit for making noise in the Dome I would have aced all my classes without ever setting foot in the classroom this semester. Noise will not be a problem this week, our fans seem to have been very vocal this season despite the low attendance figures.

What do you guys think about the RB situation? I know both these guys are tough as nails, but I doubt that Roberts is going to be ready to go on that ankle and Glenn pretty much said outright that Bouma is out this week. JVM appears to be getting the start, which concerns me greatly. Very athletic guy, but I just don't buy him at RB, plus removing depth from our receiving core will hurt.
If we had either Roberts or Bouma healthy this game would be a very likely win, but I have to wonder now. Is it worth burning Kilgore's redshirt for two games? I'd honestly prefer it if we did.

I really hate to burn an entire year of eligibility for one game - I hope it doesn't come down to that.

However, if it comes down to playing JVM at RB or burning Kilgore's RS, I burn the RS. Unless we plan on passing it 80% of the time. Then im ok with JVM at RB

This is just an observation but I am guessing Sumner will throw for over 300 and Zenner run for over 150. Final score State 38 Yotes 20

Sumner is a statue. I have a feeling that he will be spending a lot of time Saturday looking up at the roof.

JVM at running back can present quite a few matchup nightmares that USD could exploit in the pass game. The run game will be non-existent, or will it? I can think of some wildcat stuff that I've seen us run lately, maybe an expansion of that package. This situation could give the SDSU defensove coaching stafff its in game preparation. We have no idea what the Coyotes are going to show offensively and we've been watching them all year. Imagine trying to game plan for this weekend defensively.
I can see us hitting on a lot of big plays offensively and playing just enough defense to hold on. Sounds like the game plan our last two opponents used against us...with success.

2 QB's lined up in the backfield could be interesting. Also, no need to let the Bunnies know the status of Bouma or Roberts until 1PM on Saturday.
