I know I should get off the soapbox on this issue but if Bouma can't play, darn it, play the freshman. If we don't, I fear we are sending the wrong message to the players and fans regarding this game. I'm not very confident we can beat the Rabbits and Bison without a strong running game.

If Kilgore is pulled out of redshirt, he get 2 big time games at number one RB, odds are next year he is 3 deep and gets little playing time. Could be his chance to shine, if he has it in him

State wont be scoring 30 pts, it's not like they are Montana or YSU.

As beat up as we are, I like our chances based purely on coaching No mildly reasonable person honestly thinks that they'd take it 45-0. NDSU wouldn't even beat us that badly in their dome. This game might just hinge on whether or not we have a RB to count on. I don't fear their offense much, and we'll score a lot of points on their defense if we've got Bouma or Roberts (or Kilgore) able to play. Zenner is good, but the Montana game shows that we're definitely not hopeless against the run, and Sumner is not going to be able to do much against us. 34-28 Yotes

Last night at the coach's show someone asked what Joe Glenn's favorite moment from his career was, I really liked his answer; beating SDSU on Dakota Day as a senior 21-0 back in 1971, and beating Tennessee in Knoxville in front of 100k while with Wyoming. Glenn will has to be fired up for this game, and the team will probably be more motivated than they've ever been. We're very lucky to have Joe, and SDSU is going to have to face the full force of his passion and many years of experience, this time with a good team and 10k screaming for him.

2 QB's lined up in the backfield could be interesting. Also, no need to let the Bunnies know the status of Bouma or Roberts until 1PM on Saturday. I don't like the two QBs in the backfield but I definitely agree there's no upside to letting the opponent know the health of the RBs!

We are indeed lucky to have Joe Glenn. He has taken these last couple of losses really hard, and not just because they would have been feathers in his cap for this season. He was disappointed, I believe, because he had every intention of bringing this team to the playoffs this season. That is my assessment from afar, but if you listen closely and watch the way he carries himself, I believe I'm right. That's the kind of leader this program needs and that's the kind of leader, I as a Howling Pack member am happy to support. That's also the reason, that I have a lot of confidence in the Coyotes winning this Saturday. Joe is ALL IN, and he has built a strong team, that can and will deliver. As much as I love to bust the Jack bunnies, this game is really not about them, this is USD football making a statement about USD football, for this year and years to come. The poor Jackrabbits picked a bad time to have their little playoff fantasy dependent upon a win.

Sounds like Bouma is out and Roberts is 50/50 at best. Our JVM QB package has not been good, so i would rather not see that. I can remember one, maybe two successful plays out of that the last 3-4 weeks. If someone is dropping back to pass, it better be Earl. JVM has enough to worry about with lining up at RB and WR. We dont need him to play QB. Line him up anywhere else and create mismatches.

If the Bison can get by YSU then it will be an awesome atmosphere next weekend...although it will be anyway. SDSU wins this game. They have a shot at the playoffs and with that I think they bring their A-game on Saturday. Jacks 31-17

But lets be honest here, you aren't exactly dominating like you have in the past. A not so good UNI team should have beat you in your house. Missouri State was much closer than the score, and you haven't played YSU yet. Quite honestly I don't see us winning in Fargo, but to say its impossible would be a mistake as well. IF, and that's a big IF, we give State a beat down Saturday, then anything goes next weekend. We have nothing to lose, you do. I think you are one hell of a team, but not quite what you have been in the past.. I predict you won't win the NCAA title, and the only reason I do is because I don't think your team is as hungry as in the past. They've done it before, and teams like that most times lose their edge. Quite frankly if you win the league, I would hope you do win the title, it makes all of us look better. I'm just saying, I don't think you will. And if USD could come into Fargo healthy, then I would tell you we'd give you all you want. This isn't the same USD team that you made fun of last year, and part of this year. If they improve at the same level next year as they did this year, they will contend in '14. Good luck at YSU, because if we do beat you, I'd just as soon you be undefeated at the time. YSU 31 NDSU 29

Just watched the Midco replay of this weeks Jackrabbit weekly sports show. Tom Niemann is an SDSU homer, but does a nice job. His sidekick, I believe the name is Hank McCall, a former football player for the Bunnies, is a real piece of work. When asked about the game tomorrow, he commented "make no mistake about it, our real rival is the team to the north of Brookings." He also said that for it to be a real rivalry game it needs to be competitive and to this point, the Kiotees have not shown they can compete with his beloved Bunnies. He repeatedly referred the Yotes as the Kiotees and not the Ki Yotes.
If anybody in red needs a little more fuel for tomorrow, watching this should get you there.
