I'm sorry, absolutely the wrong hire!! Were you hoping for Jewitt? I think he would have been good, but I have high hopes for Eighmey as well.

So she "lost the locker room" to her assistant coach, began to look for reasons to miss games and allow that assistant coach to coach the team and then asked that assistant coach to move with her to her new job? Some of you guys are wild. Yeah shocker. Kayla is weak in the X's and O's and she wanted to bring someone along that she knew was really good at it. To Kayla's credit she knows where she is weak and it was actually a very selfless thing for her to step back and let Mike do the coaching knowing that it gave us the best chance to win. As much as Kayla had to rely on Mike it would have been surprising if she didn't invite him to come. I'm sure she planned to do a few things differently so she wouldn't lose her team again, but she never faulted Mike for losing them the last time around. It's not like he was campaigning against her behind her back, or cutting her legs out like some suggested. I'm hearing Mike and Carrie Eighmey are strongly being considered. I'm sure there are others. Anyone else hearing some names?

Certainly no hard feelings towards Kayla here, she kind of did us a solid by taking this job. I'm sure part of it was going home, but a big part was knowing er days were probably numbered at USD. She had lost the team and knew it. They viewed Mike as the head coach and they could tell he was much more knowledgeable. That's why she was coming up with reasons to miss games late in the season and when she was there she was letting Mike coach the team. Both Mike and the Mankato coach are great options. Better chance of keeping Mike long term as males just get fewer employment opportunities in women's basketball. That doesn't mean we would be trying to hire a coach that doesn't have enough success to move on, it just means if Mike has the same success as the Mankato coach would have here he won't be getting the same offers to leave as she would. That's a pretty damning and reckless statement, unless you really have some rock solid inside knowledge of the situation. Agreed.

Refs taking a whole basket off the board minutes after the play seems like a dagger. Never seen anything like that before. I have not seen that either. They blew it dead on the goaltend so nobody really made a play for the rebound, but I don't know it it would have mattered if we had got the rebound. I guess we don't get the points or the ball. What would have happened if we had been in position to put the ball right back in? Same thing?

Why would you go near any player up four? Let them hit the three and make your foul shots! WHAT ARE WE* DOING? (I don’t go here I’m In a college basketball pool.) In his defense the shooter kicked his leg out. It actually should have been an offensive foul if you are going to call anything. I've seen several of those calls this year. To me that was a bigger missed call than the pulling of Bruns jersey at the end to help set up that steal. That was a very frustrating game to lose. It appeared Bruns was going in to finish that game with about 10 seconds, not sure how he got stripped from behind like that. We had that thing won like 3 different times. What a game by Stewart.

Well damn, this is starting to look like the sdsu game. This is getting ugly in our own building. That 3rd and 19 to start the game was such a killer.

I'm not finding it anywhere in the Google play store. Is my smart TV too old? Or should I be looking for this app somewhere else? That's where I found the app for my phone. What brand of TV? Here are the supported formats: Desktop web browsers Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge (Internet Explorer not supported) Android mobile/tablet iOS mobile/tablet Amazon Fire TV Apple TV Roku (edit - oops, didn't see that Oldhare already copy/pasted the same info...) Strange that you can’t at least cast from your phone/tablet. Maybe see if your Smart TV has an internet browser? In any case, I’d give Midco customer service a ring. Sorry I don’t know more. As Oldhare said, Sony has its own SmartTV technology, which is not supported. Many other SmartTVs use Amazon, Apple or Roku. Another solution for you would be to buy a stick for one of those three streaming devices (Amazon, Apple, Roku) and plug it into your TV, as if it were not already a SmartTV. Maybe there are still some deals out there from cyber Monday? I have Sony, LG, Samsung, and Visio. It doesn't look like any of them are an amazon or apple tv. I do have a few firesticks that I can try. I've never gotten an app that wasn't already loaded onto the firestick, but if that is being suggested as an option then you must be able to do it. Has anyone actually had any luck casting the game from their phone to their TV? I'm talking from midco sports app. Has anyone been able to do that?

My TVs had the espn app on them so it was easy to watch the games on TV, but with this SLN I can't even figure out how to cast it from my phone to the TV. Does anyone have some advice on how to cast it to the TV? I'm able to cast high school games from my phone to the TV, so I'm sure there is a way to cast the Summit league network to the TV. Sounds like you have a smart TV of some kind. You should be able to add the Midco Sports+ app to your lineup of other apps (like the ESPN one). There should be a settings or home menu where you can choose to add apps. Then just browse or search for it. I'm not finding it anywhere in the Google play store. Is my smart TV too old? I WILL say that the Midco Sports + app on my iphone is shitty and does not work. I suspect that it needs a fix of some sort (as many apps do). But my Roku apps on my home TVs work fine, and I can also stream on my phone from the browser (MCS+ website)... So it's not perfect, but well worth it for me. My TVs had the espn app on them so it was easy to watch the games on TV, but with this SLN I can't even figure out how to cast it from my phone to the TV. When are they going to fix the sound system in the dome. Absolutely awful. UND fans near us commented how awful the sound system is. I couldn't agree more. The sound system is terrible. I don't know what a new one cost, but the one we have sounds really cheap. I understand it's probably not really high on the priority list, but it would really help the game day atmosphere.

Not trying to be captain obvious here, but our offense needs to buck up and do something. 3 points is not enough for a team that claims to be top 10 in the country. We don't look it today. On the other hand, maybe the top 2 or 3 teams are just that much better than the rest of the pack. We look like a team that is barely better than Youngstown, and 17-3 better than Indiana St. A pretty good team, but certainly not a top 5 team, and not in States class.

I hate to say it but on that last scoring drive we looked like we had given up already. Better get that turned around quick! They are just running it down our throats. Our defense looks gassed already. We are going to have to get a few turnovers if we want to stay in this one.

Joke targeting call. I can't take CFB serious after seeing that. What a farce. I don't know if I have ever seen a worse targeting and ejection than that. I'm having a really tough time wrapping my head around how that gets called.

Who do they have as the #1 ranked SD player in the class of 2027? Melina Snoozy. It says that in my post. Looks like she switched to Bishop Heelan HS in Sioux City, but probably still lives in SD, so still rated in SD's PrepGirls Hoops rankings. My bad, we offered her so long ago that I was thinking she was a soph by now. I see it in your post now. I will be surprised if Brinley doesn't finish as the #1 recruit in the class (I guess she probably is already now that Snoozy moved but even if she had stayed.) Although I will say, this will be Brinley's first year of varsity basketball as Jefferson doesn't allow 8th graders to play varsity. Maybe I won't be as impressed when I see that, but I was mighty impressed seeing her play against girls her age. She is good. I wonder what the chances of getting Burkhardt are if State does offer? It wouldn't be the first time we got the sister of a former Jack (although I don't know if State ever offered that one). Both of Burkhardt's parents went to Northern, so it's not like they have a long family history of SDSU. This probably is a good idea for USD to be getting these offers out to the top recruits early. AJ started this trend and it kind of paid off for him. I'm sure that's why you see us offering as early as we are now.
