A better question would be whether the wabbits have room on their squad for her? Would she get any playing time on that perfect team you have returning next year? According to other wabbit posters on this site, you guys will run the table on the SL next year with the players you have returning. SDSU has never had the max quantity of scholarship players. They only have had 14 instead of 15. So yes, there will be a open spot for Tagyn if she wants to come to Brookings. She will have to sit out a year so she wouldn't be able to play on the perfect team next season but Tonia Wade can.

You didn't hear? They cancelled the Summit conference schedule and tourney for next year and already gave both trophies to the Jacks. They are a #2 seed in the Sioux Falls regional. In the mind of Jack's fans the Summit is a mere formality next year. Matt Zimmer has already tabbed their women as the heavy favorites in the conference. I am sure when the pre season polls come out next year the Coyotes will probably be picked 9th and to miss the Summit Tourney all together despite their bench probably being a better unit collectively then all other teams starters on all teams but maybe the Jacks and Jags. The thing that concerns me most about the Yotes will be who will play point because Seekamp and Hemiller kind of held down that area. I don't remember if she is coming next year but if McKeever will be in Vermillion she just might play alot of point guard as a true freshman if not start. Ooops how dare I change the subject to the Coyotes because they will be irrevelant next year at the mercy of the 16-0 Jacks that will not only make the final four but take out U-Conn on their way to the undisputed national championship. If my magic 8 ball is correct the Jacks will beat every Summit team by 40 points and will set a Summit league record average margin of victory of 85 points per game. They will average winning their games 120-35. The SDSU athletic department will petition that the NCAA move the final 4 to Brookings South Dakota where the crowd will anxiously await each of the losing coaches to take the mic, get on their knees, kiss the Rabbit logo and praise the fans for being 3 levels above God himself.

Personally, I am excited that next season's rabbits may be the GOAT, as it gives Yotes fans an opportunity to throw out the "we didn't get blown out, so thus we are just as good - if not better - than the team that beat us, but didn't blow us out" refrain that we heard so much this year. I think it will be fun to count losses as wins, since that is apparently acceptable now.

Next year is a long way off, only thing to be certain about is that the Jacks will be over-rated and the Yotes will be under-rated.

My sentiment (not sour grapes) is that winning the regular season/conference really doesn't mean so much outside of getting the top seed in the league tournament. Accordingly, I look forward to the team building a base for a solid run when tournament time comes around.

Please enlighten me on how SDSU will be overrated when they return 12/14 players, all 5 starters, and get a former top 100 recruit active. I'm sure USD will still be in the top 3 in the preseason poll. Maybe ORU or IUPUI will be ahead of the yotes.

The way they ended this season, the potential is there....it's not a gimme by any means. SDSU finished 2nd in the regular season both those years and were tournament champs. How is that overrated? USD loses what 5 seniors? One of which was one of the best Summit League players to play in the league. It's going to be hard to replace that and recreate what kind of season USD has had these past 2 years.

Yotes have 6 players returning who play significant time along with 5 very good recruits. I'll wait to watch the season play out before crowning anyone, but the Jacks will be tough.

Anyway, I think it's a good idea that some yote fans are getting an early start on their butthurt for next year.

"I guess if you don't think the Jacks are a top 16 team, then you shouldn't hold your breath. "
"Mark my words, SDSU WILL be a Sweet-16 team next year. Count on it."

I know, what crazy talk. It's not like the Jacks were within 2 points of doing that. Oh wait.... So sure, Jacks fans do think they have a chance. I would say the vast majority of us feel it's possible but realize it is really an uphill battle as you are going to have to beat a very high rated team in their home court.
