Big matchup with conference rival SDSU at 2 today, game is on MidcoSN and espn3. Yotes have been just underwhelming in conference play so far but a win today would erase that feeling. Saw today that the women have not won in Brookings since 1990, the year before I was born. Good day to end that streak.
Go Yotes!

Unfortunately I have to pick a SDSU beat down in this one 78-59. The Coyotes need a serious wake up call right now and the Jacks are just the kind of team that would certainly be able to deliver that today. Of all the teams that have played NDSU in the Summit USD played them the worst of all the teams. As far the the streak if it doesn't end this year there will be no end in the near future. When USD graduates pretty much their entire team they will only have 2 players left Duffy and Liveringhouse that have made significant contributions. Ok so maybe there are a couple of more but it is gonna take at least 2 years to restock the cupboards while the Jacks are running out talented player after talented player.
I would love to see a win today but just don't see that happening with how the Yotes are playing. I will not be able to follow this one unfortunately but hopefully the Yotes find lightning in a bottle and pull off the upset today.

Joking aside, huge game for this team today! I think Seekamp and Duffy are gonna go off tonight, 20-25 pts for each

Tough first half for the Yotes. Far too many open misses. Hopefully we can get going in the second half.
A quick note about the broadcast. I really enjoy what Midco and Jay and company do, but I have two critiques so far on the game that have been a long time in coming. 1.) Please stop with the extreme close-ups on players after they make a shot while the game is still going on. Instead, save them for replays because you miss a lot of action on the court by being zoomed in so close. 2.) For the female broadcaster who does the half-time pieces, it is pronounced back, not bad. B-A-C-K. Every time you say, "Bad to you guys," it just sounds...well, bad.

Who heard her talk and thought she belonged on TV?

Yotes win 63-58 in a game that was an all out war. This puts us back on top of the Summit with a few other teams and really makes one forget about the sub par performances in our first four games. This game was nothing like the recent ones in this series, surprisingly low scoring. Very good win. I'm sure we have two more games against this team, in friendlier confines, and we have proven we can win them both.

Guys, should we still fire all the coaches? Only if we ever lose again.

Great effort all game, especially on D. Nicole was clutch down the stretch. Big win on the road.

Huge win today. Nice to see the USD defense step up when the usually reliable offense struggled to put points on the board.

Guys, should we still fire all the coaches? Swing and a miss there chief. (insert eye-rolling emoji here if you like). Anyway, in watching the post-game they had a slow motion of the missed over and back call on the "save" by Miller. Also was surprised at the no calls on Ober too, but that's the Summit League on the road, especially at Frost. Great day and great win. Nice to get the "haven't won in Brookings since 1990" monkey off our backs too. I didn't feel that Tom and Brad were slanted one way or the other. In fact, Brad noted that Miller's "save" should have been USD ball and pointed out several instances in which he thought USD players had been fouled (i.e. Tia down the stretch) and it should have been called. I thought they were both fair.

Great game and great atmosphere. Nicole Seekamp is a special talent
Overall a good job by Midco. Both USD & SDSU are fortunate to get great coverage of women's hoops. Doesn't happen many places.
