That's likely what we will be saying about Macy in 2 more years.

From the games I have seen, Macy is a fantastic player and the only criticism I have of her on the basketball court is the color of her uniform. I have also heard nothing but good about her off the court. High character, hard working and humble.

I really, really liked that article from Kelly Stewart and the team knowing the importance of defense. The Coyotes appeared to have learned from the ORU and NDSU games. Now it's not a matter of knowing the importance of defense but simply going out and executing good defense and putting in the effort to be good at it. The Coyotes are good enough to go back to the NCAA tournament, now it's just a matter of being motivated enough to go back. 6 of the next 9 games are at home and unlike the men the women do very well in the dome. At the end of that span of games the Coyotes will rematch with what should be a very motivated Jacks team. If the Coyotes take care of business, take care of defense and once again take care of Jacks we could be looking at a strong possibility of another Summit regular season title. Sometimes the perspective of the entire season can be looked upon completely differently after the results of one big game. Now that the Yotes have put themselves in a favorable position tied for first with trips to ORU and SDSU out of the way they need to take this big win and run with it and never look back.

Sounds like for a non women's basketball fan we have some sour grapes in this thread. There is no celebration going on Vermillion just preperation for IUPUI. Now SDSU may need to win in Vermillion to wrestle that #1 seed away from the Coyotes.
This was a big win for the Coyotes but keep in mind that USD was not playing their best basketball coming in but knew to lift their game at the right time. The Yotes need to stop playing to the level of their competition and start winning some 20 point games vs some of these other Summit teams. I have a feeling we will starting seeing more of those in this next stretch of a home friendly schedule.
Go Coyotes

I am slow in expressing congratulations to USD in winning on Sunday. I watched on Midco and yes Tom Neiman is a SDSU homer and once rode the pine for SDSU in basketball. But about Newitt, I guess being a hot shot physic teacher and a masters from USD makes him totally unbiased. The bottom line was the coverage was fair and balanced as it is on Fox News. Seekamp is a very good player. I hoped we had seen the last of her last year, but got feeling she will take you to the big dance this year. The other four are somewhat average but good and experience. This team reminds me of the USD 1958 mens team, which started and went 40 minutes with five seniors.

The Yotes have 8 players that average 15 minutes or more a game in conference play and a 9th that plays 10 a game. The midco complaining is absurd from anyone. It is beyond ridiculous. Get over it. The people who complain about it can get their butts to the games.

Yes I complained a little about Newitt on the Jack board, but he does know basketball and is honest in his remarks. Now if I really wanted to learn physics, I sign up for one of his courses. I got through SDSU and Brookings High without taking a course in physics. I think I missed something. I did okay in chem. though. I forgot this team did do a great deal of subbing which kept the real players fresh. I have respect for the yotes basketball team both men and women.

I would agree with the above as to the Midco comments spinning out of control. That is my fault for even typing anything to begin with. I took issue with the "Bad to you guys" instead of "Back to you guys" comments. That was something that was pointed out to me by several folks sometime ago and now I hear it every time. Certainly did not intend for it to illicit the subsequent negative comment about the gal. My comment about the repeated zoom in close ups after made shots is something I have noticed for several years and I sincerely feel it takes away from the current action going on during the game because often you can't see what is happening elsewhere while we're watching the individual playmaker run back up the court. Both of those comments were intended more as suggestions to make an already GREAT product, even better. As I typed in an earlier post, I thought both Tom and Brad specifically were FAIR and have always felt that the Midco team in general has always done right by any school they cover, whatever affiliations and allegiances they may have.

As a USD fan I thought it was a very balanced broadcast. People on here are complaining about Nieman, people on SDSU boards are complaining about Brad. If you wanna hear a bias broadcast take a listen to Denver's men's basketball radio guy (assuming it's the same guy from last year and granted, it is a Denver broadcast not a neutral one, but still). He was borderline insulting USD players last year. Midco does a fantastic job and we should all be extremely grateful for the job they do.

Could be. =) I remember that Denver game you mentioned above very clearly too. Good example of how not to be a sports-broadcaster.

No parade. Business as usual working hard to keep pushing towards their second straight regular season conference championship. I would be working hard to get Seekamp a twelfth year.... heck of a player. Nicole is getting the same amount of time to play as all of your beloved wabbits, 4 years. Unless you are condemning all of the players who redshirt at your own school and are 5 year seniors academically.

Counting to 4 may be pushing jackl's math skills a bit there yote14.
Anyone have any updated information as to RPIs and rankings after the game this weekend?
Congratulations to Nicole for earning Summit League Player of the Week, her third this season and sixth for her career.

That is probably the reason for all the rude comments from the Denver radio guy. It's much easier to compliment the other team when they are losing by 20. When that visiting team is winning the game it's a little more difficult to be complimentary with the disappointment from the home team.
