34-33 Coyotes at the half. It just seems to that the Coyotes are the better team and I believe probably deserve to be up more than they are. The Jacks play very aggressively on defense but foul a ton. There were probably 30 fouls committed by the Jacks but only half of them were called. The Jacks also got away with alot of turnovers that were not called. There was an obvious travel on the Jacks not called that led to a basket. On the Coyotes next possession they were called for a double dribble. Seems like the Jacks are getting away with alot more than the Yotes are. Fogg had a 5 minutes stretch where she was unstoppable and Seekamp is the kind of player that is just at another level more so than any one else on the court including Miller. The defense has been solid for the Coyotes but it can even be tighter and needs to be tighter. That is not saying whatsoever that it hasn't been good but in a game like this the D needs to be great.

Gosh I am bleeding some serious Coyote Red today and feeling mighty fine. What a win for the Yotes. I sincerely believe that the Coyotes should have probably won this game by double digits but credit the Jacks for hanging in there. The Coyotes have not swept the Jacks since the early 90's. The Yotes are now proving on a more consistant basis that they are now the co best program in the Summit with the Jacks. I wonder what the College Insider.Com poll will show for their next mid major ranking. The Yotes were quite a ways behind SDSU in that rankings. If the spots don't swap than what validity does that poll really have.
There are some players that I just love on this team. It's always easy to find faults with a team but this team and it's players have been awesome so far. Seekamp has salted away the Summit MVP. What a layup to go behind the back against Miller's defense to get the lay in. Definitely a candidate for play of the year.

What a great way to close out women's basketball at the dome. It's always great to beat SDSU but as Amy Williams said post game if the Coyotes don't take care of business next week, it's like taking a big eraser to what they did today. Still bigger and better things to come for these ladies.

More than likely the Coyotes are going to beat IPFW to seal away the #1 seed in the tournament. If they don't beat the Matadons they don't deserve the #1 seed anyway. The game at IUPUI might be needed to secure the outright conference title that is assuming that SDSU beats IUPUI and by all rights they probably shouldn't have beaten them in Frost. I am guessing that USD beats IFPW and the Jacks lose to IUPUI and the conference title is wrapped up on Thursday. The Jacks also still have to play at Western Illinois which may not be a walk in the park either.
This is a very possible senario. The Coyotes win the #1 seed which is almost a lock at this point. The Jacks and IUPUI take the 2 vs 3 slot leaving the Coyotes either Oral Roberts or Western Illinois in their bracket. eventhough ORU beat USD I would still rather play them than the Jags. USD beats ORU and the Jacks go down to IUPUI and it's the Jags and Yotes in the title game instead of the Yotes and Jacks. Lets just take that path and let the Premier Center be covered in red instead of blue and yellow like it should be for the #1 seed.

You need to have a realistic view of not only this game, but the Summit Tourney as well. SDSU took us to the wire and had (2) great looks to tie it up the last 10 seconds. I wint say we were lucky, but we were fortunate. Then to go a predict the tourney title is extremely premature. Beating anyone 3 times in a season is frickin tough. Can we do it? Yes. Is it a given? No way.
It was an extremely well played game by both teams. The state of SD should be proud.

I was in the Dakota Dome today. Seekamp is the MVP without question. 10 assists was most impressive. The next potential game between these teams will certainly be anticipated should they both make the final in the SLT. Once again Seekamp is the difference in the game today without any debate. The final SLT ought to be a South Dakota playoff. Congratulations on the win today.

They can still be a little better on the offensive end and can tighten up just a bit more on D as well. The Yotes played good today but they can still lift their game another notch. BTW who was the one that picked the Coyotes to win the Summit Tourney and even if someone were to make a prediction for the tourney wouldn't it make sense to pick the Coyotes over any other team at this point. They have deserved their standing in the Summit at this point and with a sweep of the Jacks the Yotes should be the favorite. No one is guaranteeing anything as far as what I have read. I know I will be picking the Yotes to win the tourney this year. I picked the Jacks correctly last year.

USD played a great game today minus the last couple minutes. We are the top team in the Summit League, same as last year. Just like last year though it all comes down to the conference tournament and it is extremely difficult to beat a team three times. I expect another very even game that for the title that could go either way. It's honestly a damn shame that both teams can't go dancing.

The better team should win 3 times this season or might something happen along the way. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. Forrest Gump.

This team ended up posting a 27-1 record in the Dome in its final two seasons, the only loss coming to Washington. Talk about defending your home court.

The interesting thing will be if the Coyotes move into the 4 spot and the Jacks move to 8 - 10, or if the Coyotes move to 8 - 10 and the Jacks move to 15 - 17, or if the polls just keep producing the same crack pot ratings they have always produced.
