Yes, it's possible. First round games are awarded on a bid basis. If our administration bid on the game, and it was the highest bid in the region, we would host.

Im liking the AGS bracket with Weber and SUU. It has Weber/USD @ Vermillion I believe. Unfortunately the winner will travel to Fargo, but a win there gets the Yotes into a sea of BSC teams which means the running game will go nuts and the defense should in time have a field day.
I haven't matched USD and Weber yet, but my instincts are strongly in favor of the Coyotes.

@ncaa_FCS just announced the top 4 in no particular order on twitter. UCA, JSU, JMU, NDSU. No surprises.

I am liking the selection we got. Don't know anything about Nicholls, but we don't have a MVFC team on the road to the Championship until the semifinal game.
Pretty sure JMU wouldn't be undefeated if they had to play the schedule of MVFC team.

We should be counting our blessings right now for not only making it but also staying away from the Valley.
The Coyotes got an extremely fortunate draw. Nichols State is in a mediocre conference and other than maybe New Hampshire they are probably the least deserving at large team. Maybe the committee wanted a chance to see the Coyotes vs Sam Houston which could be a fun one. Then they would potentially get Jacksonville State.
I will say this. If somehow the Coyotes are able to rediscover themselves and get back to their bread and butter on offense this bracket allows them the opportunity to make a run. South Dakota State also got a pretty nice draw as well but they probably should have been the #4 seed.
The Coyotes are also potentially staying down south so the weather should be much better then getting a northern draw. The Coyotes chances of winning multiple games is actually better with this draw vs a home game and then a game at SDSU or NDSU. The Valley actually was spread out nicely this year and are not going to have to cannibalize itself quite as much.

I looked at the bracket again and the Valley was actually represented in each of the 4 quadrants of the bracket. If that trend continues that could really help this conference going forward assuming they stay as the undisputed toughest conference in the country.

SDSU didn't get a favorable draw. They'll get UNI in round two.

SDSU didn't get a favorable draw. They'll get UNI in round two. UNI received an absolute gift the last time they played the bunnies, bigger than even the one we bestowed. As much as I'd like to see it, I doubt it happens again.

The reason I thought SDSU got a favorable draw is that they do not have to play NDSU again this time until the final. Usually in the quarters at the latest they get to meet their demise in the Fargo Dome. If I was a Jacks fans I would rather get UNI at home and then travel to Central Arkansas then to get a cupcake at home followed by a trip to the Fargo Dome. Their chances to make the semi-finals are the best they have been in their playoff history. The Coyotes could have made their road much tougher but that wasn't to be.

I do agree with the post because as you said the Jacks gifted them the game so eloquently. I am going to predict a Jacks win by about 17-24 points unless it is a miserable day in Brookings. Sorry for assuming a UNI win in the first round as assuming is usually the biggest mistake one can make.

I agree with all of that except I really think UNI beats the Jacks up there. What am I missing about SDSU "gifting" them the game? The Panthers won by 20 last time. Has SDSU suddenly discovered a great ground game because the weather conditions are more than likely going to be like what we saw outside Saturday, cold, windy, possibly snow.
I also think NDSU goes to Frisco and wins the whole thing. They can jack there game up to an even higher level come playoff time.

I would say in watching that game - SDSU came out flat and had awful turnovers that led to points directly. On top of that - SDSU could not stop the run. Very winnable for UNI, but I do think SDSU pulls out a win against them. Either way, I think UCA will give UNI or SDSU a tough game.
