This article has the projected playoff teams and pairings if the season were to end today... Yotes (as the #3 Seed) would have a bye the first round and then have to play the winner of a Nicholls vs SDSU pairing. Of course this all means nothing because we still have 5 games left to play, but it's interesting to see how much respect the Yotes have garnered in just one year of success (2nd year under Coach Nielson). www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20171017113113481522204

I guess with 5 teams in a 25-team playoff, match-ups like that are inevitable.

Here is a quote regarding USD from that article
"but what is truly going to define this program is that trip to Fargo in November".
Every team in the nation including the majority of FBS teams would lose in Fargo. So if the Coyotes go 10-1 and lose in Fargo what definition does that actually suggest. Does that mean the Coyotes are pretenders if they lose that game. I like how every week the Coyotes continue to need to prove themselves. Luckily the team continues to think that as well. That is what happens when a rising program comes up the ranks so quickly.

After 1 quarter UNI leads Youngstown 3-0 and are running very effectively against YSU. So much for the Panthers being down this year. It's gonna be a tough one in 2 weeks.

UNI is borderline dominating the Penguins. 10-0 and the YSU defense looks rather swiss cheese right now. YSU better get it together because they are far from a playoff lock right now.

The Penguins have got be thinking are you kidding me playing arguably the 2 best teams in the country in back to back weeks followed UNI who appears to be doing what they do every year and start playing great in the 2nd half of the season.

It was a really tough day for the Coyotes, themselves along with the other 3 teams in the conference that they beat were a collective 0-4 today.

I guess they forgot to check the recent records of USD and WIU. Even UND has won in the Fabulous Fargo Dome but that was a different age. Thinking about it, almost all MVFC teams have won in Fargo since we all moved up. Im pretty sure SDSU has too. Sure the Bison are tough in Fargo but to suggest they are unbeatable is exagerating.

SDSU leads WIU 17-10 with 9 min left in the 1st half. Mcshade with 2 TDs now and tie it up at 17 with 5 min left
