Great game, Jacks are going to win 76-72. It was a close game after half and went back and forth. I think the difference was second chances, the jacks had a lot of good bounces on offensive misses it seemed like. Hopefully we can rematch in the SLC game, if that happens I'm sure it will be another doozy. these teams are evenly matched and honestly it is a pleasure to see them compete.

After this I have zero doubt that USD is the best team in the league. Bunnies very narrowly win their super bowl in the 4H barn after nearly everything went their way. Should be a NCAA berth for the Yotes.

Just like the summit league last year, someone else is going to have to look to score other than Mooney or we're not winning next weekend. Not terribly concerned about this game, but 4 guys standing around and watching him try to score at the end of the game isn't going to cut it.

I am not overly disappointed in losing the game because for the Men it is tourney title or bust. I really feel it is that way. I could care less about the NIT because for me the season is over once the chance at the NCAA tourney is over or it ends in the NCAA tourney. The Coyotes kind of ole'd the Jacks the entire first half plus some before they finally got it together. The Coyotes were just too flat for most of the game and despite the run at the end it still goes down as a loss. The regular season title and #1 seed IMO was more important for the Women this year. I expected the loss tonight but the Coyotes will rebound in the tourney and with Hurst back assuming he is I like the chance to clamp down even more on D.
Was it just me or did Daum look more dominant last year then in the games this year. By watching on TV Frost seems louder than the SCSC.

As fun as it is to watch Mooney score at will, I agree that it's a horrible strategy.

Both teams looked sluggish at times - not really a well-played game overall by either team. I predict we will see better from each team the next time. I feel very good about USD’s chances on a neutral court. Smith will have them ready to rebound next game and that will be the difference.

I do feel good about our chances in the SLT, but their 3 point shooting scares me. If they have a really hot night there is going to be no beating them. Thankfully they cooled off and it's really tough to keep that kind of shooting up, but it is still scary in one and done scenarios. Hopefully we don't have another guy who averages 1 pt a game go off for 14 against us either, that's a killer. The other thing that scares me is that Daum has never really gone off on us, and Mooney has had some really big games against them, I would hate to see what the game looks like if it's the other way around or if Mooney just doesn't go off. Hopefully we have the offense to pick up the slack. Watching the game tonight though I'm pretty confident we beat these guys 7 out of 10 times. I wish they would cancel the SLT and just have us and state play a best of 7 series.

Should be a NCAA berth for the Yotes. I am going to have to unfortunately disagree. The Jacks provided they win at Fort Wayne are going to finish 13-1 to the Coyotes 11-3. That is a two game difference and if Jacks fans came out and said their Women's team was undoubtedly better than the Coyotes I think there would be some pretty peeved Coyote fans. I think the Coyotes match up well with the Jacks but the Jacks ran the table in non USD games whereas the Coyotes lost to Denver and NDSU. The Jacks had some very big wins in many of their other conference games. The Jacks are the regular season conference champs out right for the first time in their Summit history. We know when it comes to the Summit do or die tourney that the regular season means only as much as the canvas that the banner is written on. If the Coyotes can have more consistent energy and they play their bench sufficiently in the first two rounds I think they have a great shot at winning that tourney.

Well that had to be the longest 3.8 seconds in basketball history.

He will never go off on us.

A narrow win at home crossed with a massive blowout on the road totally plays right into their hands.

Well that had to be the longest 3.8 seconds in basketball history. A true Yote fan would recall the UCLA game I had 15 minutes for this and the UCLA game for eight. Maybe my memory is fading along with everything else.
