It’s finally time for the game most of us fans have been anticipating since the last epic showdown in the SCSC. Massey has us losing
65-72
That would be the lowest points scored by the Yotes since the Indiana game. While I will gladly admit the Jacks have a very good defense, I refuse to believe our team will score less than 70 in this game. I’m thinking more like both teams in the low 70’s. Another close one IMO.

Like the first game, both defenses will be aggressive and pushing the limits of being too aggressive with fouling. I like our depth better if it comes to players fouling out or being benched in foul trouble. The Jacks starters are fantastic, and Larson has been playing lights-out, but there is a bigger drop-off as you go down the “batting order” than we have IMHO.
Their offense is legit though. With some of their games they seem to just score at will, especially Selland and Larson inside. Madi is Madi, and she is always going to find the basket eventually. If we can keep from fouling her so much, we will have made some progress from the last game.

I like that Massey prediction!! I expect a bigger red crowd in Brookings for this matchup even if the weather is more difficult than Saturday. This is a feature game for NCAA D1 WBB.

This is one of the biggest WBB games on Sunday (only 2 games between ranked teams), but the game is relegated to ESPN+. Couldn't even swing ESPN3? We get ESPN to have 2 stories on the main page but still no traction. Life as a mid-major in WBB.

And yet NDSU vs Omaha is on ESPN3 today.... NDSU and UND always seem to gave their games available on cable channels as replays, as well. Why is that??

Maybe that’s the one I was thinking about, it is also on ESPN3.

Ha - what is funny (sad) is I took those trolls into account, thus 'conference play' and correctly using 'SL' vs. 'SLT'. There is no doubt they have had our number in SLT, but it is strange how those fans (trolls) refuse to believe the Yotes have taken over the SL. These stats (some I got from Zimmer's article) are pretty black and white.

Don’t forget all of those preseason titles, too... Now that would be some interesting research (that I'm not going to do). I would guess SDSU is playing for its 10th or 11th straight preseason title.

IF any of my fellow Jack fans felt the need to correct they'd deserve the smack you could deliver to them.

That’s a good sport, cheers.
Back to today’s game, though. It’s hard to gameplan both of these teams because they are both very talented and well rounded.
I think we have an edge in a physical, defense-oriented low-scoring game because of our depth and interchangeable parts. (Depending on how it is officiated)
Jacks have the edge in a track-meet, though. I think they are a little more consistent from the arc, if a little less explosive. If someone gets cold we are screwed in that scenario. Madi never gets in foul trouble, so we will have to “pick our poison “. All game.
