Does anyone know if Guebert decided to red shirt as i have not seen her in the lineup yet? With the quality of talent that Coach P has been bringing to USD, I'm not sure that you will see many kids redshirt.

This whole "depth" thing is getting kind of strange to me at this point. Everybody realizes they're basically playing a six-woman rotation, right?

I'm sure it will get to a more legitimate seven or eight as Korngable starts hitting some shots and Ugofsky gets more comfortable but this isn't a "deep" team.

I think 'deep' applies in that every position group has little-to-no drop-off if someone gets in foul trouble, so no one needs to play Triston Simpson type of minutes. Plus there are 5 players averaging double digit points (all starters though).

And I would definitely agree that this is a very balanced top six with a chance to have a 7th and 8th who make solid contributions night to night. But balance and depth aren’t the same thing.
Depth is when your second five can play with your first five.

You’re not deep if you’re playing four starters 34-plus minutes a night.

No respect for the mid-majors. We gained 20 votes and they lost 43.
