St. Thomas just beat NDSU, 73-62. And North Dakota beat Western Illinois 76-65 What's going on with NDSU and WIU?

I'd call UND and Omaha somewhat improved. NDSU somewhat regressed. They are all three tied in the standings right now. Denver is really bad. Despite the upset over WIU, I think St. Thomas will lose a ton of games, too. Right now I'd go with: 1. USD 2. SDSU 3. Kansas City 4. WIU 5T Omaha 5T NDSU 5T UND 8 ORU 9 UST 10 Denver Still think St Thomas will finish 9th. Ruth is a really good coach!

Crazy! I guess they are not content to just be in the conference. They are making a splash. (Still no tournament though).
Seems like the middle of the conference is all over the place. It will sort itself out eventually.
Denver is still bad, though.

Below #3 are all beyond bad.

Below #3 are all beyond bad. I have to agree. Even though UST is the one of that group with a winning conference record, let's not forget that they have a +300 NET and RPI rating due to a poor non-conference performance. They have probably improved, but... yeah, it's a pretty top-heavy conference at this point.

UST is going to be major threat come their eligibility time. Just not finishing dead last in the first year from D3 is a huge step.

We will see what happens when they have to play the South Dakota schools.

UST is going to be major threat come their eligibility time. Just not finishing dead last in the first year from D3 is a huge step. I'm stunned how well their teams are doing. I thought for sure that their D3 roster would mean that they would be getting crushed every night. I believe their men's team is starting 4 or 5 seniors (all local guys too). Wait and see if there is a big drop off there.

... Right now I'd go with: 1. USD 2. SDSU 3. Kansas City 4. WIU 5T Omaha 5T NDSU 5T UND 8 ORU 9 UST 10 Denver after last week's games I'll update my thoughts: 1. USD 2. SDSU 3-9 ? 10. Denver Conveniently for all those middle-tier teams, UST isn't eligible for the tournament, so they should all make the SLT. Seems like there is some inconsistency and flaws with all of them, but enough talent to pull off upsets of each other. Hopefully we won't see an upset of the SD teams. If there is one, I'd guess it's against State.

You might have Denver too high at 10.

Also, check out the first Reaching the Summit WBB podcast:
They don't talk about USD and SDSU a whole lot, mostly the rest of the league. It's understandable, as our games are probably the least interesting from a competitive standpoint. The outcome is not in question, just the margin of victory, for the most part (although nothing is impossible).
The JD Gravina interview was entertaining, as you would expect.
1. He is in a Celeb. death pool...
2. His favorite non-WIU player in the league is "Clove Lambgable". Remarks that when Chloe was a freshman, he knew she was going to be really good, but Liv emerged later in her career. Said he enjoys following both of them in social media.
3. His least favorite arena to play in is Frost. I'm paraphrasing, but he said it was an intimidating place to play with a rowdy student section. He also talked about how Jacks fans boo every single call that goes against them. He said one of their players could basically punch him in the face, get a technical, and the crowd would still boo. Good stuff! Hard to argue against it when a longtime coach in the league says it. Sorry. Same stuff we have been saying for years.
4. His favorite arena is KC's gym. Said it is an intimate environment, and a "shooter's gym".
5. Said USD has flown under the radar a little nationally, due to the tough non-con schedule, but that the recent results should finally start to turn a few heads.

Women's attendance: 1 South Dakota 1,946.0 2 Oral Roberts 1,537.0 3 South Dakota State 1,176.0 4 North Dakota 999.0 5 Kansas City 585.0 6 Omaha 544.0 7 North Dakota State 362.0 8 St. Thomas 336.0 9 Denver 250.0 10 Western Illinois 238.0
Yotes had a couple of interesting games, and also some duds. If they are chasing another undefeated SL season, that average may tick up a bit. What seems very striking is the attendance numbers for the bottom four teams. Oof. That's not good.

I have a feeling St. Thomas’ attendance will be much higher when we play them on February 17th. With 5 Minnesota girls on our roster, there will be plenty of people who want to see this game in Minnesota!

Are these paid attendance figures or gate attendance?
