Women's attendance: 1 South Dakota 1,946.0 2 Oral Roberts 1,537.0 3 South Dakota State 1,176.0 4 North Dakota 999.0 5 Kansas City 585.0 6 Omaha 544.0 7 North Dakota State 362.0 8 St. Thomas 336.0 9 Denver 250.0 10 Western Illinois 238.0
Yotes had a couple of interesting games, and also some duds. If they are chasing another undefeated SL season, that average may tick up a bit. What seems very striking is the attendance numbers for the bottom four teams. Oof. That's not good. Are these paid attendance figures or gate attendance? They are whatever the school reports. There are no rules on what a school is allowed to claim.

I would think having the Oklahoma and SDSU games at home really boosted the average so far. No more really marquee games to draw in the extra-large crowd from here on out so it'll probably drop some.

ATTEND-ance should say it all, but unfortunately often times that is not the case.

I would argue that there are rules, and they do accept either actual or paid attendance officially... There is just no enforcement of those rules, so some teams go beyond even paid attendance into fantasy numbers (see ORU basketball, or USD football pre-expansion).

The reason I asked was at Omaha they claimed attendance of 431 and it didn't look like that much.

The reason I asked was at Omaha they claimed attendance of 431 and it didn't look like that much. For years Oral Roberts would claim like 3k fans in attendance when there was maybe 300. I haven't watched a road game there in a while to compare. Also see kiyoat's mention of USD football where we always said over 10k were in attendance for sellouts despite our AD coming out and saying there was only like 6,600 seats before the renovation. Schools can claim whatever they want.

North Dakota just beat Oral Roberts to take sole possession of 3rd place. 5-3 in conference.

Kiyoat nice of you mention us and yes were playing better basketball this year were healthy than we have been in long time but still missing several players but coach Berhard has done good job of getting them to play team basketball. Last night we probably played our best defense of the season holding ORU into the 30's. Were improving but this team does not have depth of players yet to both South Dakota schools this year. Where we are at now i believe if we play up to our potential we can beat other seven teams in the Summit. I also believe we have ability to play better than last time we met and if you played similar game like you did last night we could pull off upset. I believe our time is coming in the next couple of years to make run at conference championship we have very nice 2022/2023 class coming in with couple of 4 star recruits to add to this years team and we have number of freshman on the team i think can become very good ball players in time. I guess we will see in a week how much improvement we have made but first we need to take care of KC.

Players rated that well should hold offers from many more prominent women's basketball programs in the Midwest, no?

Bunnies lead WIU 62-22 …. At the half. You can already hear the media headlines coming for the rivalry meeting in a couple of weeks.

Comeback not likely for the leathernecks. Side note, in true SDSU classsiness the starters are still contributing heavily in the game. Bench has only chipped in 17 points. Keep it classy AJ.

Check the box score and find that the starters logged less than 107 of 200 minutes. Facts are there for viewing. gojacks.com/boxscore.aspx?path=wbball&id=12682

Facts are there for viewing. gojacks.com/boxscore.aspx?path=wbball&id=12682Fun with stats! We haven't done that for a while... Starter | Season Avg. Mins
| Today's Mins
| Meyer | 24.4 | 18 | Burkhard | 25.5 | 21 | Irwin | 26.1 | 23 | Nelson | 26.1 | 24 | Selland | 21.4 | 21 |
It appears the only starter that didn't play normal minutes was Meyer, thought Thueinck, who is one of the first players of the bench, basically played those minutes (she was above her season average by about the same that Meyer was under).
If you want to interpret that as sitting your starters, then have at it - I won't try to stop you. I may roll my eyes, but I won't try to stop you. The real story is SDSU - who has been offensively challenged - was on fire Thursday and Saturday.
