Expect a great tailgate party at Northwestern. Hopefully we get a good turnout for the Chicago recruiting base.

All I can say is, glad we got Joe Glenn when we did.....if he was still a "free agent" right now, gotta think Montana would have at least called him.

Thought of it when I read the story.
However, does not having a schtick after this length of time tell us anything? Just askin'.

Montana would not consider that option.

That changes things a bit for that game.

You have to like our positions coming into games with Montana and NDSU now. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a lot of confidence in our ability to win either game, but if you are going to play these types of teams in you first year of full eligibility, these are the types of circumstances that help (New AD/potential scandal and home game in the dome, respectively).

I'm sure I'll get dumped on for this but this is how I see the '12 schedule turning out for USD:
9/1: Montana - L 9/8: Colgate - W 9/22: Northwestern - L 9/29: Illinois State - L 10/6: WIU - W 10/13: Missouri State - L 10/20: NDSU - L 10/27: Indiana State - L 11/3: YSU - L 11/10: UNI - L 11/17: SDSU - L
Until the Coyotes can prove that they can win consistently on the road I cannot see a win next year on the road....maybe Missouri State. Illinois State -UNI- NDSU are too good right now for me to pick a win against them. Even Western Illinois at home will be tough. Colgate should be a win.
1 to maybe 3 wins next year, IMO. Maybe I'm wrong....we'll see.

If they go under you win if they go over I win.

I'm guessing 3 wins next year.

I think people are forgetting about the momentum that can be created from a first year head coach especially one with the great resume that Joe Glenn has and to have him come back and coach his alma mater on top of it. I think this Coyote team will over achieve this year and will not take so many steps back once they find success. The MVFC is going to be a tough grind and a bit of an unknown but Joe Glenn is also going to have a few tricks up his sleave for the MVFC as well.

You can have all the tricks up your sleeve, but when you replace so many starters, it's not hard to imagine a short step back. I would think most people who really follow the Yotes would expect somewhere between 5 and 6 wins. That's probably realistic.
