You can have all the tricks up your sleeve, but when you replace so many starters, it's not hard to imagine a short step back. I would think most people who really follow the Yotes would expect somewhere between 5 and 6 wins. That's probably realistic. Looking at your schedule, where do you see 5 or 6 wins coming from? The easy one on 11/17

I believe the Yotes have as much talent as anyone in the MVFC but I think it has been misguided at times, especially those times that make or break teams. The Yotes have nowhere to go but up when it comes to making the big plays at the crucial times.
Loss at Montana: Yotes lead early but drop a 10 point decision. USD leaves Missoula with more confidence as a team than they had coming in.
Win vs Colgate: Yotes look good in home opener with 21 point victory
Loss at Northwestern: Yotes trail by 17 early only to comeback and make it a close 7 point loss
Win vs Illinois State: The game where we truley see the difference between the Yotes of old and the new Yotes. Yotes trail by 3 at half only to comeback to gain a late victory by 4 points.
Win vs Western Illinois: Confidence from first minute all the way through. Powell has a huge game and the Yotes take down the Necks by 24
Win at Missouri State: Yotes learn from near misses at Northwestern and Montana but come up big in the late stages and get a defining road win.
Loss vs NDSU: close game the whole way goes to the defending champs in the end.
Win at Indiana State: USD by 10 in a solid win. By this point of the season everyone that is a Coyote fan knows something is different about this team that is intanglible in nature. The team becomes known to be gamers and plays well in the second half.
Loss at Youngstown State: Loss by 17 in a game that the Pens play very well in.
Win vs UNI: Confirmation of a good season capped by big win against the Panthers.
Loss at SDSU: The Jacks play their best game of the year but still barely win. USD knows the rematch the next year will go as a W.
I am showing a 6-5 season with alot of hope going forward.

It sounds like the Coyotes lost a lot of senior starters off of last years team then add a new head coach on top of that. The top 4 teams will be NDSU-UNI-YSU-Ill State. Ind State - SDSU should be better. WIU and MSU will also be improved. Where will these 5-6 wins come from?

Colgate, Ill State & Western Ill all 3 in the Dome, a road W over either Missouri St or Montana, a home W over either UNI or NDSU puts us at 500 heading upto Brookings and we all know how that one will come out. (Rabbits- its whats for dinner)

(Rabbits- its whats for dinner) Interesting assessment. USD has been horrible on the road since moving up. What gives you confidence that this is going to change all of a sudden now that you are in the Missouri Valley? Win against Montana at their house....very doubtful. Missouri State has a good QB along with a pretty decent offense....maybe a win here. And no way is USD good enough to beat UNI-NDSU-SDSU this year. Ill State pounded you guys last year and they have a lot coming back along with a very good defense. 6-5 or 5-6? We'll definitely see. 1-10 or 2-9 IMO.
