Well, there it is, the RPI gods have spoken, the Coyotes will finish the Summit League 2-12.
jackl was right, let me go eat crow, and round up a suitable sacrifice to the gods. Since we're only going to win 1 game a month, is it too much to ask that it be the first of the month, each month?
Go Yotes!

We'll have two conference wins before we even play a conference game on the road. Fact.

Hey now! I think my statement is open enough to allow for a third win to open league play! Starting out league play at 2-0 feels pretty good after only winning 5 games both of our first two years in the Summit. It would be very sweet to make it 3-0 and take first place!

We certainly seem anyway to be getting a little stability. Coach Boots gave up 3 years ago, and it showed. He did little if any recruiting and left it in the hands of his assistants. That isn't good when the head coach is disengaged. It appears the talent pool is as good as we have seen it in quite some time. And although we may have closed the gap on the Jacks, I don't think State will drop off much tis year. Dykstra is agnostic, along with two other starters plus the flunkie but talented Larsen transferring from Florida. If he does his job, and doesn't have the Mr. big Shot mentality, I think SDSU is going to be pretty good. Now, next season might be a different story. Anyway, good luck Joey. We wish you nothing but the best. Your predecessor left you in a difficult spot. This is your chance to make lemonade out of a lemon. Good luck Switching coaches in September is stability? Also, the yotes are gonna have to prove you have closed the gap on the Jacks. As of right now you're still one spot out of the Summit league cellar. As of now, you have 2 Summit losses that we don't. See you in 2 weeks

Curious to see how the men do on the road now. They still have yet to play NDSU or SDSU. If they can go at least 4-3 on the road, and win 2-3 of the 4 left at home, we could be looking at a pretty nasty team come tournament time.

I realize the conference season has just started, but NBC College Basketball Talk has the Yotes picked as a 16 seed playing the current #1 ranked Arizona Wildcats.

Matched up with the top overall seed? Let's do it!
This road trip will be very telling as to whether or not we have a shot at staying on top of the conference. Western Illinois looks very beatable, but we have managed to go 0-5 against them since joining the conference (with the last 4 being by a combined 7 points.) We've got to get at least one of the two games, got to.

Tough loss tonight. I hope it didn't affect your seeding for the big dance.
