It just sounds like that from posters on here that have seemed to be very reliable in the past. It's still an opinion of mine from everyone and everthing I have heard so nothing concrete.

It sounds like Glenn is staying(which I would like to see) so the staff there is more than likely going to stay as well. So an option that has not been mentioned yet that would not be bad if we are not going to clean house is hire additional assistants so this staff has the help next year. Wes can stay on under a different assistant coach role and we can get a more experienced OC. we can hire a couple more qualified assistants so we have the same size coaching staff as the rest of the conference. It's a win/win for next year I feel. We get new blood in there. And honestly this sounds like the only way it's going to happen next year from what I have heard everyone currently in place is staying for one more year.

And at the end of the day it happened in your football stadium so you are responsible for it. As was pointed out how does security not do something about it. Who was in charge Paul Blart mall cop?

Anyone who did it was wrong. I did not see any USD people throwing them on the field during play or hit coach Steigelmeier. It could have happened jackjd but I didnt see it.

P.S SDSU fans. Even though you look at USD as the worst program in the country every year we have the same amount of playoff wins in 1986 when we were national runner up as you do in the over 100 year history of your football program (2 wins).

It's remarkable how successful the Jacks have been with such embarrassing facilities. Just made the playoffs for the 4th out of the 6th times eligible. That said, anyone that watched that debacle Saturday knows what was really embarrassing. Wow. I actually felt sorry for the USD players. Let me start by saying conrats on making the playoffs and good luck to you. Honestly. SDSU has done a great job the last 6 years building a good program. But between this or USD not being your rival anymore talk it reminds me of how short of a memory most SDSU fans have. You just leave out the last 50 years of results because you have had success in the last 5. If you do not count the 4 team great west conference championship (I beleive USD had one as well) SDSU has not won a conference title since 1963. You have been to the playoffs 5 times in program history (4 in the last 6 years). The last one before that was a 50-7 loss to Youngstown state in 1979 (this was your one and only playoff appearance in DII) I'm not saying USD has had a lot of success either (we were national runner up in 1986 with more wins in that year of the playoffs than SDSU had in all of their time in DII with their 1 win) but we dont walk around like king kong long dong like we have a dynasty football program like SDSU. Good luck to you against Montana State.

Throwing snowballs at the opposing team is horrible.
All I have ever heard from SDSU people is about how football was meant to be played outside on grass. Saturday we saw why no one has grass fields anymore and why any team with the money to build an indoor stadium in the midwest does it. The field was a joke and the November games for SDSU every year are significantly lower in attendance. 3,200 fans a couple weeks ago against Western Illinois. USD has 2 wins this season and on the same day at least had just under 7,000 fans. STILL WANT TO PLAY OUTDOORS IN SD?

Here is a comparison of football salaries and other info at USD vs SDSU that I pulled off both schools and the SD state salary websites The link did not work for me but I myself did this comparison 3 weeks ago and was amazed at USD's lack of commitment with not only the salaries but the huge disparity between how many coaches are on every other team compared to USD. There are probably division 2 teams with bigger coaching departments. IMO this may not be the only reason for the lack of success. The coaches need to take some blame as well but if we do not fix this we have no shot at success.

It was also classy that Steigelemeir did not run up the score. He certainly could have scored 100 the way they were executing on offense so hats off to him.
I didnt like to see SDSU fans throwing snowballs on the field towards the USD players. That was a very classless act.

It seems like the radio guys on the post game shows are all giddy regardling moral victories. You could swear the Yotes won the game based on the positivity of the radio guys. Do they not realize what a dumpster fire this football program is right now. I am beginning to think that I am the only one that thinks there are major problems that need to be addressed. Lets just move forward and continue to lose games. I believe the Yotes are on a 12 game conference losing streak. John Thayler a couple of weeks ago said he refuses to put blame on the coaching staff and won't take shots at them. He is likely only taking the politically correct approach since he is on the job. I wonder what he really thinks. Does anyone think that a coaching change is necessary right now. Changes at the coaching position need to happen. I still like Glenn and wish he could have his own staff of assistants and more of them to match every other team you are trying to compare them to. Quit making it sound like they are worse than Norther State. They are not. The assistants that Glenn has have little to no experience in coaching before these jobs and its tough to succeed when everyone around you was chosen for you and they are not good. Coyotefan, I think you need to be requesting the right types of changes. The grass is always greener on the other side. Does just firing the coach really fix our problem? I say no. We need to pay more money and hire more assistants to help with the day to day grind and recruiting. Ones that actually have experience and are quality assistants. If we do not we are simply just hiring another puppet who has no shot at winning with the type of support financial and with coaching staffs to succeed.

I agree about Kasperbauer. His size does not make him a threat on offense or defense unless he is really open. It looked like Thoseby had a really big game either Saturday or yesterday so maybe Smith is still tying to find the right combinations of what works.

I do agree with yotes about them fighting a lot harder this year. No way do we come back at the end of regulation like we did in this game the last 2 years. No inside game kills us.
Some would argue that 9 seconds is a lot of time left to foul although I agree they probably should have done it.

The two misses by Norris at the end of the one OT hurt. It was entertaining to listen to on one hand but torture on the other.

Jackjd fact check these stats please since you are so good at it. They are directly from your BOR site.
33% of 2013 high school graduates enrolled at USD scored below a 21 ACT score (293/875) 44% of 2013 high school graduates enrolled at SDSU scored below a 21 ACT score (648/1464)
Higher enrollment standards absolutely equate to a better class of students which was the point I tried making to you jackjd when you talked about USD needing to do more to attract those types of students in your earlier post.

You're right dakotadump. USD created the requirements of accepting students with a minimum of a 21 ACT, 990 SAT, 2.6 GPA all for show so when really they accept everyone on the fact that they were in the top 50% of their HS class.
The acceptance standards are there for a reason. If the acceptance standards are not that hard then why does state not up theirs? I dare you to find lower acceptance standards for a university than SDSU's.
Also your "Good Will Hunting" slam is horrible. It wasn't even funny in the 90's. You fit the mold of an typical SDSU dork exactly. The fact that you are trying to argue that USD's acceptance standards are not more difficult shows you got a degree from SDSU in the first place.
