VOTE: which of the 2 would you rather have to beat NDSU?
1) Strevy at 75% 2) Simmons 100%

I agree leatherneck...we got this far by him being a dual threat. It’s what has gotten them to where they are. If UNI would have had to worry about him running they would of had to adjust their defensive scheme which would make the defense susceptible to big plays from our receivers. Looking ahead to NDSU we cannot be one dimensional.

I have a question if any one can elaborate... why is that Strevy isn’t using his legs as a weapon? That was a big part of our game him being a dual threat. The defense had to account for his ability to run and run well. It seems like that has been dormant the last few games. Yesterday he had plenty of room when he was scrambling to run forward and he ran to the sideline looking to pass for too long. He is a dual threat type QB not a prostyle QB. Even on the option he is choosing not to run? Just curious what you all think.

You can’t have 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles for scores in the Valley. The defense was on the field way to much. 20 plus points on turnovers. We just need to bounce back and use this to go and NDSU next week!!

I do NOT know details of this unfortunate incident, but I am in Law Enforcement so I am knowledgeable about the process once these kind of allegations are made. The school holds title IX responsibilities in which this investigation is not of a criminal nature, it is purely to decide the accused persons destiny as far as the school is concerned for example (kicked out of school completely, suspended from sports but still may attend school if on scholarship on their own dime, designated suspension time frame for school and or sports etc.) A title IX investigation has nothing to do with a criminal investigation. Once reported to the police of the jurisdiction in which alleged crime took place then a criminal investigation is started. A police officer takes the preliminary report that gives preliminary basic information and crimes that can be charged. It then gets passed on to the assigned detectives. The detectives then start a criminal investigation. Once they get enough information in which they decide whether they have a enough for a substantiated crime or not and if so what crime committed, then they write an affidavit and submit it to the DA. The affidavit list the "fruits of the alleged crime" or crimes and and request arrest warrants. A designated Judge decides whether they have enough information to approve arrest warrants. Once approved they can go make the arrest of said individuals in which they are charged with crime and bond set. Bond is set depending on severity of crime and all other circumstances. Again this is just an explanation of the process which may differ a bit from state to state. Title IX is Title IX. I pray for all involved in this unfortunate allegation and incident. Everybody that has some connection with USD at any level is affected.

I guess strength of schedule isn't taken into consideration??? I agree 3-5 shouldn't be ranked ahead of USD!

1) Starting middle linebacker - out for season(Wessell) 2) Back up linebacker out (Woodard) 3) Starting punt returner and weapon on offense out (Cas) 4) 2 starting corners, 1 of which was on track to All conference at least and the other with experience and 1 of the better corners in the conference suspended 5) Another back up corner who starts on speacial teams 6) Starting OL Out indefinitely (Jensen) 7) Linebacker depth questionable 8) Just came off a loss last weekend 9) Starting Star QB gets injured and out of game WE BEAT A TEAM THAT AVERAGES 34 POINTS A GAME AND A SHUTOUT NO LESS!!! How can anyone get on theses boards and say anything negative and or criticize any player that played an awesome game last night with the heart and determination these 18 to 21 or 22 year old kids played with and gave a astonishing performance and win?? Never mind the adversity and distraction of the suspensions..which I’m sure the players know more than any of us do!

Brian Woodard is posssibly back this week which will help. SIU runs a similar offense to USD. This week our defense will have to minimize the mistakes and force some turnovers. I know the coaches have made their adjustments and have a good game plan. USD 27 SIU 17. Go Yotes!

Yodayote you are on point! I just had that discussion with my son yesterday! This kind of game scares me because ISU has nothing to lose and they will play with reckless abandonment. I trust our coaching staff to keep the hunger and momentum going so that the team is prepared. No game in the Valley is a gimme. I will be there tailgating and rooting for the YOTES!!! GOOOOOO YOTES!!!

Yotes I got a question? When they finish the renovations to he dome is that going to add seats? Do you know any inside scoop on renovation? I hear so many different versions. Is it true they are going to do the football locker room? Tha really needs an upgrade to be comparable to the other d1 schools. I know all the other USD facilities are top notch in the FCS.

I agree with you that Klett and Henry are way more effective than Fredrick in traffic and between the tackles. Fredrick is not going to wear down a defense but Klett and Henry will for sure. I thought we would see them more in the second half. WIU's defense got rejuvenated in the 4th quarter and ours seemed tired. Who thinks we should of punted instead of have Strevy try to get the short yardage twice and come up short? It was a gutsy call by USD but whew that was too close for comfort.
