I have also “been told” that they will also be playing at Green Bay this coming year. And playing Missouri, but not sure if home or away the first year.

While Whalen has not been a coach of a college program, she has done a lot of coaching from the sidelines of the Lynx, especially when she was injured last summer. If you watch the games, in the huddle, it is quite often her telling people what to do. I know this is quite different from a college program, but if she has some good assistants around her, I think she can bring an energy to this program that has been missing with the past several coaches. I’m not saying it’s going to be a walk in the park, but I am excited to see what she can do.

I do know several of the Minnesota players that are transferring, ( there ate a couple more than you listed), a couple of them pretty well. Hannah played with (same AAU club, different year) and against them in high school and AAU games. However, I will not comment on them because I believe at this point that is between the girls and any prospective coaches and I would not want my comments to be misread or misinterpreted by anybody.

wbbblog.com/2018/04/05/womens-basketball-transfers-spring-summer-2018/amp/I saw this listing of the players that had announced so far that they were transferring. I know there are a couple updates that aren’t on here, as another girl just left New Mexico today. Also missing are updates of where girls have committed to, because I know some of those have already happened as well. So, I’m sure there will be revisions...

Funny! I mentioned that post a couple months ago, and another thread on this board, and I got ripped by another poster saying there is no way that Minnesota is going to get rid of Stollings. That she is too popular with her success this year.... but the fans here in Minnesota do not like her at all! And they are right, she does not try to recruit Minnesota, she waits until the girls go somewhere else and then gets them on the balance a year or two later. And then she wastes red shirt years and scholarships on all those girls. This will be very interesting...

Now the buzz is that Stollings has been offered the TT job and that Minnesota will be looking.. but I’m not sure the salary would be in her range. mobile.twitter.com/wbballhoopscoop

That makes sense. I was just halfway paying attention as I had just gotten home from work.

I just saw on another board that Texas Tech will announce their new coach within the next 48 hours or so. The lead candidate in this search, Joe Foley, is reportedly still thinking about it, and the second candidate in line is Johnston from South Dakota State.

The McDonald’s All-American girls’ game is starting right now on ESPN2. They announced a girl from South Dakota on one of the teams.
