Just wait till the end of the game though, because New Mexico has been known to blow some really big leads this year. The good thing about if they were to play the lobos is that Hannah was a Lobo last year. She knows some of their plays still, and she knows the strengths and weaknesses of their players because she played with them and practiced with them all last year. Other than the freshmen, of course... And from all the games that I’ve watched this year, They are quick, but they can be hot or cold. Their game rides on whether or not Cherisse and Tesha are hot from the three-point line, And on Jaisa and Cherisse not getting in foul trouble.

The lobos streams have always been free. They have a new outfit (Stadium) doing the stream this year instead of the Mountain West network, and some mountain west fans have complained that it is not as consistent as the old ones were. But it is free.

Part of the equation for deciding who hosts is the fans in attendance. If we win this game against Michigan State, our next opponent could very well be New Mexico. They have to win tonight, and then one more game, but that would put them in our sitgts. Because they play in The Pit, and there are no professional sports in Albuquerque, they draw a lot of fans for both men’s and women’s basketball. They also have promotions to try to increase their attendance - recently they had a $5 per seat promotion for a game. We need to combat that by filling the stands Thursday night. The coaches should get the other athletes to come out. When you have the football players and the men’s basketball players come out to cheer for the ladies, other students follow. Spread the word!

Michigan State scares me - specifically Sidney Cooks and Nia Hollie. Cooks played North Tartan with Hannah and Maddie, but they had her playing up a couple years because of her skill. She played with Arike Ogunbowale, Maddie Guebert, Alex Wittinger, TeeTee Starks, etc...

Well done Lady Yotes!! Start to finish, they never let up on the gas. When CSU made a run in the third, they adjusted both the offensive and the defense and took off again. That was fun to watch! ❤️⛹️♀️🏀⛹️♀️❤️

This is from the Lobo Lair (New Mexico) board, describing a CSU game near the end of the season....
“The difference between how CSU attacked the FSU zone yesterday and the last time they played in Ft. Collins was night and day. This time they owned the lane with players darting in and out and then passing high to low post cutters. That opened up the outside for the three-point shooters.”
CSU runs hot and cold, but when they are on, they are really on. Our girls need to be prepared for their quickness and sharp shooting. The Yotes will need to play very good defense!

That was a fun game to watch, just a little bit nerve-racking at some points. The Houston girls were very athletic, but our girls matched them stride for stride. I was really impressed once again by our passing game, and how our girls fought and defended inside the lane. Nice win Yotes! Looking forward to another one on Sunday!

Several people on The bunny board are ripping our fans for being excited about the girls playing in the WNIT. Further on in that theead, there are a few that stick up for our girls, and rightfully so. True, they did not get selected for the NCAA tournament. However, very few people will dispute that they belong in that tournament, but there is absolutely nothing we or they can do about it. Therefore, this is the next best option and it is still a great option. Giving the girls post-season experience against some good teams is a win for the program, no matter how you look at it. Go Yotes! ❤️⛹️♀️🏀⛹️♀️❤️

Congratulations to the Yotes on their WNIT bid! While it is not the tournament they hoped to be in, having one of the top seeds in this tournament will let them play some good games at home! ❤️⛹️♀️🏀⛹️♀️❤️

Usually for their polls, you can vote once per hour. And when they start a poll on Monday, it usually goes until noon on Friday.
