How can they possibly be worried about YSU and Missouri State, but not a road game against us? Blows my mind. They have Missouri State at home even. I hope we blow them out, but realistically still sticking with my 4 point win prediction. Exactly. Another post stated that they are more physical than our guys. If I’m an OL or DL I would be take that as a personal challenge.

I thought the posts on the arrogance of Panther forum was exaggerated until I went to their site. Here is one if their posts reviewing the rest of their season: “There are three wins there (losses to SDSU, ysu, and one of the Illinois schools). May only be two wins if Missouri state keeps playing well.” The arrogance of assuming a win in our house pi$$es me off. Our guys need to teach these guys a lesson on respect.

This is payback time. We physically dominated last years game in their house and lost due to turnovers and a VERY questionable call on Kai’s late fumble that ultimately cost us the game. Inside knowledge...our boys are pumped for this game and look forward to taking it to the pussy cats, err panthers.

Excited to get this thread started. A VERY important game for both teams. Panthers must win 5 out of their final 6 games to have a chance of making the playoffs. Yotes need the win to keep pace with NDSU for conference leader and put us in a strong position for post season qualification. Let’s go yotes!!!

Nathan Schultz might be another. He was outstanding last season as a true freshman, suffered the serious injury late and I guess was still a bit limited early on this fall. Maybe he plays at the end of the season, maybe the staff holds him out the entire season. Whatever is decided I hope it's in his best interest and he's 100% when he comes back because that kid has unlimited potential. Has he played at all thus far? If not, I'd like to see him held out and get an extra year. Hasn’t even dressed. Highly unlikely he’ll return this year.

Ben Klett should get player of the game. Hard running and good blocking too.

Haven’t found a fan forum for Missouri State. Anyone else find one? I enjoy reading the fan posts from our weekly opponents.

Two great and interesting posts. Back in May we purchased season tickets for the first time (5 sears). I had a nice conversation with the student selling me the tickets. He told me that he has been working in the ticket office for three years. His first year they sold only a few hundred season tickets. Fast forward to this past May and they were over 2,000 season tickets sold. Obviously interest and support of Yote football is on the rise.

1st and goal on the four and you don’t give the ball to our 230lb RB(Klett)? Are you kidding me!?! Again, our defense keeping us in the game. Fix the ?$&@ offensive line!

Coaches should get Headlee and Kramer to give him a tour. Both of them are pre-med students.

My take on the offense is that the O-coordinator needs to take some pressure off the O-line by calling more running plays. Simply put, we don't run the ball enough. It makes us one dimensional and allows the defense to pin their ears back, pass rush, and dial up blitzes. We're just in love with the pass and throwing the ball too dang much. You could argue that the run game isn't working, I would counter by saying you need to give it time to work. Rushes that go for 1 or 2 yard gains in the first quarter become 5-6 yard gains in the 4th when you keep going to body with a pounding run game. It also keeps the defense honest, they still need to respect the run because you're calling run plays. The O needs more balance, simple as that. Running the ball will help the O-line out a ton. You know who else this helps out, the defense. Running the ball increases our TOP and keeps the D off the field and prevents them from getting worn out. I was screaming at the TV Saturday night that we needed to RUN THE DAMN BALL! I agree totally, As part of the RPO offense the R stands for Run and is listed first for a reason. If we establish the run it will slow the pass rush, holds the linebackers and open more passing lanes. Obviously, we need the line to open the holes and when we have ran run specific plays they have been fairly successful, but with the straight RPO, they struggle and seem more on their heels in Pass Pro rather than being aggressive to establish running lanes first. This comes down to our mindset of being a run first team or a pass first team? As far as the RBs are concerned, coaches felt confident enough during spring and summer ball to move Fredrick to the D and stick with Henry, Klett, and Brooks. So far we have seen a lot of Henry and just a little of Klett and Brooks. I would like to see more of them as Henry has struggled so far as the starter. The pressure to perform as the main back might be tough on a true Sophomore plus his pass blocking has been average at best. After 3 games and 2 weeks to prep for SIU I would like to see if someone else could get the job done as the #1 and get our mindset correct on being Run first. Agreed. Ben Klett looked good again on Saturday running AND blocking. He needs more touches so he can punish the LB and DB when they try and tackle him. I’m a huge fan of these coaches, but when we have 3rd and short, give the ball to the 230lb back not to Kai. Simple physics.

Not Simmons fault. Most pathetic OL play I’ve ever seen.

Offensive line looks like a hot mess. We’re turning the ball ocer, they’re not. We’re getting stupid penalties, they’re not. A lot of work to do to have any chance of coming back.
