Don't hold your breath on getting anything from Zimmer. There are several fans that have pushed Matt's buttons.

Objectivity? We've all pretty much agreed with the picks, so what's the problem? my bad...

So now it's because they were on teams that were more successful, or there is something to do with size? Weineke was a 4 yr guy and at 6-4, 210+...Anderson for the Jacks had similar stats and comparable size as Allen yet he only garnered honorable mention, and I'll argue all week long and twice on saturdays Anderson is one of the best blocking WRs in the FCS. I'm not here to say Allen isn't deserving of his award, just trying to throw some objectivity into play.

So YF you honestly believe Allen is better than all 3 WRs on the first team?

To SDSU: I apologize and embarrassed by that head shot on your player by our #2. And I’m even more embarrassed by his and his teammates actions on the sideline after the call was confirmed, with a senior in #9 raising his arm in the air as if he just won a boxing match and woofing at fans. It is inexcusable of our players and our coaching staff has some serious work to do to get control of this undisciplined team. If you wanted answers as to why we have struggled all year, this is why. I am embarrassed that a senior who I would assume players look up to behaves the way he did. Totally classless and it is a shame that is the way he ended his career. Some of the Seniors have been very good players, but they failed to take a leadership role and this lack of leadership contributed to a disappointing season. Coach needs to evaluate not only a few of his assistant coaches but also a few players who although they contribute, we might be better off without their attitudes and lack of self-control. honestly not sad to see the Gray brothers go...appreciate knowing that as fans you saw how classless this was. Hope your team has a productive off season, it's always better when you guys are successful too.

Interesting note about SDSU, going into the Bison game the Jacks haven't faced a starting quarterback yet this season, ouch talk about being thrown into the fire. I'd be more concerned if it wasn't a guy they've already seen. Stick is really good but it isn't like they haven't spent time preparing for him and playing against him. Heck I think Stick is a QB they've prepared to play more than any other starting QB.

jackedforlife , just curious. Why are you responding to, and arguing with, Yotes? His post was essentially defending SDSU's strategy. Re-read the first sentence. There are far more nakedly anti-Jacks takes in here. Oh, and BTW, thanks for joining the discussion. It has been a while since we have had much meaningful Jacks participation. It's fun to get different perspectives when they are non-trolling. Not really meaning to argue, I'm merely pointing out that I believe those reps for the 2s, 3s, and 4s are incredibly meaningful. As we all know a team is only as good as it's depth and experience. Any time the reserves can get more than just a few minutes in mop up time it's valuable. Many people want to leave the game when it's a blowout, I'm the one watching even closer to see how that 3rd string kid is doing.
It will be interesting how both the Jacks and the Bison do next week. There are so many ways it goes down and quite frankly none would surprise me...well I guess if the Jacks blow them out at home I would be shocked.

The team gets publicity for putting up 90 points, and the only negative is violating dumb unwritten rules. I think that when you're up by 43 at halftime against a hopeless team that recently lost to a D2 school you should probably just run out the rest of the game. Those reps can't be valuable and you're risking injury. Why should I care if they decided to run up the score against futile opposition? You don't believe that in-game reps, under the lights, in front of fans are not valuable for the 2s,3s,4s??? I think any opportunity for the reserves to get in and manage a game situation is valuable. Heck isn't that another benefit to the new redshirt rule? Get some of these kids some experience on the field. Regarding risking injury, you are if you play your starters longer than they should be, I think in a blowout it's ok to play the starters to the half...not the start of the 4th qtr, see Jacks/New Hampshire. Now there are reasons why AR-PB kept their top two QBS home, perhaps they were concerned with injury.

Kid had a DUI and then made the mistake of getting caught drinking again when a recent incident on a scooter saw another Iowa player in trouble. It isn't like he is being charged with raping anyone. Actually there is much more to the story, but it is being kept a secret to save face. From what I have gathered it was something that has nothing to do with a DUI, but the articles won't tell you that. Stig the master of sweeping stuff under the table is a perfect fit. ...so, you don't think your team would have been interested in adding Brandon if say he want to enroll for an MBA and play his final season in red??? Bob and Dave would've said no thanks, too many issues.

Here is my wild-ass-guess: 1. NDSU 11-0 (8-0) 2. USD 7-4 (6-2) 3. UNI 7-4 (5-3) t4. SDSU 6-5 (4-4) t4. ISUr 6-5 (4-4) t4. YSU 6-5 (4-4) t7. SIU 5-6 (3-5) t7. MSU 5-6 (3-5) t7. WIU 4-7 (3-5) 10. ISUb 2-9 (0-8) So, that looks very homerish… I can't say I think the Yotes are the 2nd best team going in, but the road conference record sets up very well for them. I have them losing 2 of 3 of Weber/YSU/SDSU, though it is certainly easy to think they win 2 (or 3) of those. As has been noted before, the top team and bottom team are set, the middle 8 involve a lot of 'go with the home team'. Predicted Storylines: 1. MSU hunting for a playoff spot in November 2. The Rabbit's TC has either a Streveler-esque dominant year, or kind of bombs (no in-between), either way, fans call for him to be benched and Joose to be fired after starting the season 2-2. 3. Yotes place more D players on all-conference than O players ^this is interesting...I think the way our schedule lines up there is a realistic expectation that we more than likely be 2-2...Heck until the QB for MT St was suspended the reality of 1-3 was a possibility. 2-2 is a fair guess, 3-1 would be fantastic, 4-0 near impossible, 1-3 disappointing but not quite fire worthy(panic mode), 0-4 yikes then heads would roll.

This quote, "Remember that these are kids and they're doing everything they can to entertain us, be students and great human beings", is OLDHARE's tag from a post I had after a discouraging loss. I believe someone was challenging desire. I think someone mentioned that when the crowd last night got going it gave your team a new life...the sad part of the great season you guys had was the amount of fans that showed up. That team deserved better...was attendance affected because many thought you'd win easily and have another game? I don't know but you have arguably one of the best teams USD has ever had...Oh I know, we had arguably the best FB teams in our history and could only manage 7518 and 5583 for 2 playoff games. Both fanbases have room to improve.

I've watched the press conf a couple times...Mooney and Hagedorn are class acts. Regarding Smith, I have newfound respect for him after his portion. I really hope you guys can hold on to him a few more years, the Summit is a better conference with him there. Best of luck in whichever post season tourney you make.

I would hope to hear a lawyers opinion on the fact that it took 4 weeks or so for this to come out. Is it really a conspiracy theory or a cover up if it isn't disclosed immediately by the school, Police department or individual?
