If this game was at home it would be exactly like the North Dakota game last year and we would crush an overrated team. With it being on the road I'd still say we win by more than a touchdown.

Just a change of pace sort of out of the box thought regarding Summit League expansion: What about Wisconsin, Green Bay and Milwaukee? The Horizon League has been in decline lately. They lost Butler a few years back and more recently Valpo to the MVC. The Summit has surged ahead of the Horizon in basketball status, both men's and women's. Heck, Coach P left NKU in the Horizon to come here and be in the Summit. Those 2 schools are to the west of the Horizon base. Why not think a little bigger than Augie, and get 2 more established basketball programs into the conference? I have no inside analytics on this idea but why not make a run at them? I'm sure IPFW and Western would like this option a lot more than adding Augie.

aldewitt are you confident that Augie's strong attendance numbers would continue when prices go up for everything and they're playing ORU, Western Illinois, and Fort Wayne in the Elmen Center instead of Mankato, St Cloud, and Northern? They'll get a great crowd for USD, NDSU, and sdsu, but that's only 3 games a year. When they play a full D1 schedule will the Augie crowd be willing to pay D1 ticket prices against schools they would have never heard of without the Summit League?
As someone who has never been to an Augie athletic event I can't speak to their fan support, but I live in Sioux Falls and I can't say I really know anybody that cares about Augie athletics

Under 30 and I'm not a fan. Although I'm very often told by my coworkers that I'm "young, but not hip."

I will be bringing the family down to watch our yotes against KSU. Excitining atmosphere since this is Snyder’s last year as head coach for the kitty cats. At the risk of asking for a repost, can someone with good knowledge recommend THE best barbecue in KC. Thanks and go yotes!!! My coworker who grew up in KC says it's Jack Stack, followed closely by Arthur Bryant's.

bunny fans have to be beside themselves since they think the world revolves around brooktown..... Well remember that the Argus only runs negative stories about sdsu because people in Sioux Falls are jealous of Brookings?

Wasn't Fakira offered by TCU and at least one other P5 school? He may have committed to a Summit League school, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's lower level talent.

Just thinking long term a bit. Sanford could be a HUGE elephant in the room. With the Sanford CEO being an Augie graduate who is to say that Augustana doesn't make a huge announcement in partnership with Sanford Health. Not only a D1 announcement but they could change their name to Sanford University, or maybe the University of Sanford take your choice. They make the move and keep scholarship football with Sanford being a big time funding mechanism. Currently Sanford partner's with the USD Medical school, but what would stop them from expanding Sanford University's offerings and open a medical school. At that point they would put their resources towards that Med School and next thing ya know the USD partnership with Sanford could end rather abruptly. Wouldn't it be ironic if USD's refusal to expand into Sioux Falls (and the same could be said for SDSU) could eventually put USD into the status of third most important athletic college in the State. Augie and Sanford partnering up would probably be a worst case senario for USD. Eventually it could lead to that school surpassing both State schools and becoming the premier college in the state. It could be a long way down the road but Sanford has some pretty deep pockets and funding a good athletic department would be no problem for them. Considering how close Augie is to the main Sanford campus it makes a ton of sense. What were you smoking and can the rest of us have some?

I think I was the first to post "Toddfather" on this board, but I can't take full credit. My buddy said it in a group text and I stole it from him.
