Well everyone outside USD seems to think our sports are one man shows. Haven't you heard that our football team will suck next year without Streveler?
Seriously I really hope Mooney doesn't leave, but if he does we'll be ok. Assuming there isn't any sort of mass exodus.

The more I read, the more I like him. As stated above I'd say cautiously optimistic is the way to be right now. Very interested to see what he has to say in tomorrow's press conference.
Mooney will stay because the Toddfather will make him an offer he can't refuse

There is no logical conclusion that I can think of that has the Coyotes winning in Brookings. Usually the Jacks tend to get better as the season goes on and the Yotes regress. The game is in mid November in a place that the Coyotes don't win in. A spread offense in an outdoor game at a team that has consistently beaten the Coyotes and has consistently been better than the Coyotes. The cool aid has to be awfully red to pick this one as a win. My logic is you always pick your team to beat the rival if there is a reasonable chance they can do so. If we were coming off a terrible season with few returning starters and had to go to Brookings I'd say no way we win, but that is not the case.

Well since the South Dakota weather is making it look like we won't be golfing anytime soon we might as well discuss it. Who do you like in the Masters this weekend? I'd like to see Tiger and/or Phil be in the mix on Sunday, but I think it'll be one of the young guys, JT, Rickie, or Spieth. I've got a feeling it's Rickie's turn to win a major

Why would Sanford want Augie in D1? Where would that benefit them? Also how keen is Augie on dropping football only a few years after building a pretty nice new stadium? I just don't see it happening.

Some excellent numbers. Would have been the top performer at QB at the combine.

If he's not careful, AJ is going to paint himself into a corner and never be able to leave Brookings, which is fine if he's content there. He has built himself a nice gig up north. I'd stay forever if I were him. The school and town love him and he gets $225k a year coaching a team that is getting some national attention in the WBB world. There is a reason he changed his mind on leaving.

9-2 top 4 seed. As a Huskers fan I've developed a habit of always being overly optimistic about "next year"

TCU assistant head coach, David Patrick, was recently hired as head coach at UC Riverside. Some speculation that Ryan Miller would be promoted from assistant coach to assistant head coach. However, TCU is now advertising for an assistant head coach per Hoop Dirt. I’m sure that’s just a formality of the process. Legally don’t all school positions have to be posted for a minimum of a week. I know that’s how it’s done where I work. State schools yes, probably not at a private school.

Tell them to just go to USD.edu and that'll settle that

The smallest one that comes to my mind is Davidson, which has an enrollment of 1,950 (and has been to the NCAA tournament 4 of the past 7 seasons). They are of course the exception though. Davidson doesn't have football though, does it? Per their athletics site they do. 2-9 in 2017 as members of the Pioneer League. Maybe Augie could be the Davidson of the midwest
