Frankly, KELOLAND makes me want to barf too. Completely lopsided coverage. Yesterday morning was a joke on heels on beating MN. Literally USD got a five second blurb following two minutes "what are your plans for watching the SDSU game?"

I don't want this post to come across as a slight to our previous coaching staff, but when I start seeing some of the great athletes that the U has signed I ask myself the question...would we have had this kind of success with the previous staff? I realize that some of the young men had relationships established with the new staff and we picked up some great athletes because of these relationships, but I also think the commitment and the new direction the administration has given the football program can also be attributed to our success today. I'm looking forward to the Signing Day Socials and to hear what the staff has to say about our new Coyotes. Fight South Dakota! Couldn't agree more. If I were a recruit it would've been hard to commit to the previous staff given ambiguity of how long Joe was going to coach. I have to give it to administration and the commit they’ve made to Coyote Football.

I was at the game so I didn’t get to hear the broadcast. Tom’s been pro-bunny in the past during broadcasts, so it wouldn’t surprise me… If he was pro-bunny, to me it makes the win that much sweeter.
I love Monday’s like this… The bunny fans in the office are pretty quiet this morning.
Congrats Lady Coyotes!

It sucks – He’s a good player and will be missed. However, it’s not the first time or the last time that this will happen to this program. Unfortunately it will probably become more of norm in the future.
I agree as referenced AVG is a 20 year old man… Ten years from now he’ll have the opportunity to look back and determine whether this was a good decision or a bad one… But that’s up to him to determine, not me.

I like this stat: Nielsen has compiled a 186-80-1 record for a win percentage of .698 in 23 seasons as a head coach.
Really the only stat that matters. Great hire!

Officiating was piss-poor, at best. On a positive note, they looked a lot better than the previous two games with return of Seekamp. Subbing a lot of new faces in – It’s going to take a few games to create some chemistry.

I watched the bunnies play UNI on tv while I listened to the Yotes last weekend. UNI looked tough – If #10 could catch, it could’ve easily been 21-7. Yotes need to keep the momentum going with another big road win. Yotes 17, UNI 14.

It takes balls to finish a game like that. What game and what a great day to be a Yote!

About all you ask for out of the defense. Played on a short field all day long.
Saturday’s offense can summed up with one word, anemic. When a QB draw is your most productive play, you know you have problems.
At least SDSU lost.

We can’t lose sight of the role special teams in this game. It’s so often overlooked, but it’s such a huge part of the game. There’s no better way to punch them in the mouth than huge return, or stuff them inside the 20 on the opening kickoff.

Agree Eddie & Yote53 about reasonable expectations. I’d like to shoot a 70 today, but I’m a 14 handicap, so what’s reasonable? Not 70. With that said, there has to be a trend line of improvement though. I like Joe too, but there needs to be measurable improvement from last season.
