Matt Miller 6"5 235 TE from Omaha Skutt catholic also commited per Wisemans dad on ESPN. Miller is a 2 star on rivals. Wiseman is rated a 3 star by ESPN. Does anyone know if Miller is a firm commit? I saw on Rivals he is not shown as committed yet and that he had a visit at Illinois State this past weekend. rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Matt-Miller-123151

Here is the extent of what I found.
DES MOINES - Linn-Mar High School seniors Andy Henry and Mark Atwater were named to the Des Moines Register Elite All-State Football Team Sunday morning.
Henry made the Elite Offense at wide receiver after catching 53 passes with 18 touchdowns. Atwater was named to the Elite Defense after starring at linebacker.
Atwater also excelled as a quarterback for the Lions, but Blake Gimbel of Marshalltown and Kyle Starcevich of Southeast Polk were honored as the top quarterbacks in the state.
Cedar Rapids Washington senior Sean Bredl and Xavier senior William Wright were named to the Class 4A Second Team Offense as linemen. Cedar Rapids Kennedy senior Logan LeTellier was honored on the Class 4A Second Team Defense as a lineman.

Tried looking him up last night and the name is spelled wrong. It is actually Sean Bredl.

Men close the deal and get the win 76-57. Westbrook goes for 32 and 5 steals, Louie 16 points and Gruis 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The men need to hold on to this one for the first Summit win. Four minutes left and up 17.

I didn't make it to the Coyote Landing on Saturday night prior to the women's UNC game, but was told that the new DC and offensive line coach were both up there with Joe for the meet and greet.
Anyone have any knowledge that this is true or false?

I watched nearly all of the Montana/UNI game and one glaring point was driven home to me. We need to be extremely thankful for the group of receivers we have had on our Yote teams the last few years. Maybe the wideouts in this game were just having an off day, or the cold was affecting their ability to pull it in, but I noticed alot of drops that we are accustomed to seeing the Yote receivers pull in week after week.

Most of those outside of Coyote Nation seem fixated on 2 things, his age and his flipping the bird to an opposing coach as to the reasons why this hire should be questioned. Neither of these things bother me. Joe may or may not wish he could take back the flying of the bird to an opposing coach who called for an on-sides kick when he was up by 40, I don't know. I do know that 3 seconds doesn't necessarily define the coach as lacking disipline or as a wild card which many are making the quick judgement to.
I remember when Joe was at USD to be inducted into the HOF. As he was on the field and speaking to the crowd, I noted how I have never seen anyone not employed by the University, before or since, show that kind of emotion, passion, and love for the institution as what he displayed in that situation that day. Granted, this was a few short years ago, but that passion does not die; it will only grow as the personal investment increases. That passion will also be transparent to current and future players and recruits. If there is such a thing as a young 62, Coach Glenn will certainly be it.

I think this will be a great hire for the Yotes. You know he will bring enthusiasm and passion for the program. I am in no way saying Ed didn't have those qualities because we know he did, but you would always wonder about a new hire and how they will assimilate into the culture. Will not be a problem here.
Only downsides I see as of now are short term, and they are that Joe has been out of the recruiting circles for 3 years. Needs to re-establish those contacts and get up to speed very quickly on this years available HS seniors and close the deal on the contacts that were already made. Also will have missed 3 years of working with up and coming assistants so will have to rely on his acquaintances (which I am sure are many) for suggestions in addition to his own repsonsibilities of evaluating the current assistant coaching staff.

It is entirely possible these interviews, especially the primary ones, are taking place in the locales of the interviewee or even in an airport conference room. If Sayler and Herbster are traveling and meeting with the first wave of applicants and targets, it is quite possible they won't be spotted around town.

Well the Yotes got the win, but it wasn't pretty nor was it easy. And to top it off, Andreotti goes out in warm-ups to an eye injury that the post-game show said will keep him out of the start of the conference season this weekend.
A tough road trip just got a lot tougher.

Free feed of the game on the EWU website (need to register). Yotes are not shooting well and called for 12 fouls in the first half. I think at least 6 of them were offensive. Team is struggling offensively. Can't seem to find much flow in the offensive sets yet. Problems with turnovers as well. All in all, not alot of good things to talk about so far.

As with most divisive issues, there is black and there is white, but there is usually a substantial number of people that are in the middle and that is where I found (find) myself on this topic. I have no problem with the Big Sky and was OK with the decision to go that way when it was our best option to protect the future of the FB program. But even then, I didn't like that from that point forward, I was very seldom going to be able to personally attend any more away conference FB or BB games as the vast footprint of the Sky makes that highly unlikely. Does it stop everyone? Of course not, but there is a substantial number of fans that would no longer get to see an away conference game of any sort without significant travel. UND and UNC as the closest conference games qualify as the only 2 that I could even consider. Big Sky has an outstanding conference TV package so many games would be viewable, but especially in the case of BB, it would make for a late night. Away games would miss the deadline for the next day's paper (I am old school).
Did I prefer the MVFC/Summit option when presented? Of course I did, but for selfish reasons. The number of games I will personally attend increased. The fact that I was much more familiar, both because of the past foes as well as the fact that State had been playing the others for several years put them all on my radar so I feel like I know a little something about them all. Would I have learned about the Sky schools? Sure, but the travel was still the drawback. I still recognize both conferences for what they are, Sky is more stable while Summit is more transitional. But what I wondered at the time and still do today, is if the the Sky is still as attractive if one or both Montanas leave? ORU left today and so the immediate reaction is the Sky is our better option long term. But if the Montanas leave tomorrow, would we be any better off?
I don't want NCC 2.0 but part of my desire to travel to some away games means that there will be a few of those schools in our conference. I do hope that we are able to pick up a school further east to give our eastern partners better travel options but I (like all the fans I associate with at each game) am in no way looking for a re-creation of the NCC.
