What did the baseball team have on their caps back in the 80's? It seems like I remember something that looks very similar to what this proposed new logo is.
Does anyone remember or have a picture?

I am a patient person to a fault, but my patience with 102.7 has run out. This is way beyond frustrating!!!

Looking ahead to the Bakersfield game, the ladies should have a shot at winning this. I scanned the Bakersfield schedule for common opponents and saw that the Idaho team we beat last night won by 10 over Bakersfield on a neutral court. However, I also saw that Bakersfield beat SIEU at home by 20+, a team that we lost to on the road.

It looks like Nimrod is having a solid senior season!
December Boys Basketball Player of the Month: Nimrod Hilliard, Madison East
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By: Travis Wilson | 1/10/2011
Madison East's Nimrod Hilliard has been selected as the WSN Player of the Month for December 2010 following a statewide vote. The senior point guard helped East to a solid start to the season and received 50% of the vote, easily defeating runner-up Sam Dekker of Sheboygan Lutheran. A total of 2150 votes were cast for the five deserving nominees.
East lost four starters, including All-State performer Marquis Mason, from last year's team that tied Memorial for the Big Eight title. There was also a change at the top, as veteran head man Rich Cleveland retired and was replaced by Matt Miota. So it is definitely a pleasant surprise to find the Purgolders at 7-2 overall and 5-2 in conference. Much of the credit can be given to senior point guard Nimrod Hilliard. He has picked up his scoring to off-set the production losses from last year, and is averaging 27.6 points per game so far. He's also chipping in on the boards and is once again one of the better guards at driving and finding teammates for open shots. In a 65-62 win at crosstown rival Madison West, Hilliard poured in 32 points. Less than a week later in a 76-59 win at league title hopeful Sun Prairie, he added 25.
The nominees for January Player of the Month will be announced at the end of the month. Keep an eye out for the list and remember to vote for who you feel is most deserving.

I had no idea Amber Hegge's asthma limited her during the Nortern AZ game. You have to wonder how much Amber will be able to play in the Colorado State game on Monday. Her asthma is really aggravated in games at higher elevation locations.

Just got home from the game. The Yotes played very well tonight and although the individual points may not reflect it, they spread the ball around very well. Alot of hustle plays helped negate the large size advantage Wyoming had. Gruis and Tecker play fearless for true freshmen. Andreotti had some huge put backs and rebounds. Louie was just on fire. They all just played really well.
Nice to get that first win against one of the bigger D1 regional schools. I know Wyoming isn't the strongest of teams this year (I think we are even rated a few spots ahead of them in today's Sagarin rankings), but it still feels great!!!

If Mick took his notes accurately, we are talking about alot of money that can now be spent in other areas of the athletic department, ie salaries, scholarships, additional coaches, training equipment, etc.
From Mick's Argus chat today: Yes...Abbott said today the difference in travel budgets with the Big Sky vs. the Summit/MVFC would be $800,000

It appears that Mussman was upset with the last USD offensive play of the game when Dante was scrambling and then threw out of the endzone in the corner (or out of bounds, my vantage point was not good). I guess as I watched it, he was simply running to take seconds off the clock and when he was about to be tackled, simply threw it out of bounds. I don't remember that ball being near anyone or near catchable. Please correct me if I am wrong on this. If he was actually looking to score on the play, then I would agree that it was a bad judgement, but I believe he was only trying to eat up the last few seconds of the game. Now, whether there is a better way to eat up those seconds is another discussion.
