The thing I have noticed about the Summit WBB OOC schedule appears that most teams have upgraded their opponents. Whether the dip in talent creates some buyer remorse if the beatings occur, that is to be seen. The new coach with the best opportunity to win is likely ORU. St Thomas could gel as they have a talented guard, Jade Hill, who will be a sophomore. The rest of the teams will be to be determined as players and coaches make progress. The Summit Conference begins in a bit over 6 weeks on December 19.

There seems to be a new Summit League app, curiously featuring fan rewards points. Has anyone else seen this? I think going to Summit website will find it. thesummitleague@rewards-message.com

I see a good OOC schedule for MBB on the website. It is showing 6 OOC games. Are there more games expected prior to conference play?

I have to think that we haven't heard portal news because our coaches are being choosy, and deliberating... trying to find "good fit" candidates. Something like that. Also, it's hard to both put together a staff, shore up relationships with current and future committed players, work out and evaluate the current roster to determine need, establish new recruiting targets, put together a 2023 schedule, ... etc. Tough job for a brand new head coach. I'm sure our Athletic Department is assisting her (and Coach Pete) well, but there are just a lot of balls in the air right now. I'm sure we will get some transfer news soon. The right fit is more important than the quick fix. I'm hoping for a 2 or 3-year type transfer player. One of Coach P's new grad-transfer players will make WVU her 4th school... I'm sure she's a great player, but that's just insane from a culture standpoint. Welcome to the future, I guess. The new coach at Syracuse who had been at Buffalo currently has 4 players from Buffalo transferring into Syracuse. 2 of the remaining 3 transfers are making Syracuse their 3rd school. This direction will make game programs necessary to keep up with the roster.

Boogie could go to UND in an exchange for Bruns plus a player to be named later as the portal continues to fuel changes.

Billy Donlon is no longer head coach at UMKC.

It would seem unlikely that the current roster/recruits would easily follow Dawn to the East Coast.

That was a tough loss to end a great season. I thought the women would get the OT. It was a confirmation of the NET score for the Coyotes.

Sooo, no watch party in Brookings? (Stupid high school All-State Band concert...) And yes, for those of you following along, I went from watching the Baylor game in Puerto Vallarta to watching the Michigan game in Brookings. I would expect BWW & Cubby's to have the game viewing. Now, if you are expecting a room full of red; that may be harder to find.

I hope everyone seated in the rafters can move down after the 1st game is over. You are likely concerned about something that will surprise you how many seats are available. Most of the games in this round will not include a home team. Vermillion will likely bring the largest contingent of fans. I would not expect Michigan to match the Coyotes in fan count. The fan noise will favor USD.

That was a really big win in Waco. The home seeds are a big hill to climb. Congrats to the women's team and coaches.

The yotes played a solid game today to mute the SEC bravado from pregame information. Sjerven showed she can take a punch and keep on ticking. Rebels had a mark on her all game.

I hope the SF Sports Authority is a big winner as well. That is a bump for bidding the next successful block of SLT. Sioux Falls is now home to the office of the Summit which might give a bit more fuel for the bids awards. It will take a monumental effort for another venue to win the bid AND put the rumps in the seats. By the way, I voted for the Jacks so do not blame CF!
