I assume that usdcoyote is referring to Karly Jusczak, who committed to Idaho in November, 2023 per this Idaho Vandal website article. If it is her, she doesn't have to enter the portal, but I believe Idaho needs to release her from her LOI.

The online roster also still includes Mazurek. Hard to read all the contrasting tea leaves.

It appears that Coach Eighmey has her staff in place as there are no longer any job openings listed on the SDBOR website. Also, Bailey Morris is listed as the DBO on the Open SD Salary Database. Based on this info and earlier comments on this thread, the coaching staff appears to be as follows:
Head Coach - Carrie Eighmey Asst Coach - Devin Eighmey Asst Coach - Amber Cunningham (Hegge) Asst Coach - ?? DBO - Bailey Morris

The end of men's championship was interesting. Just like in the indoor, the triple jump was finishing up as the 4x4 was starting. However, this time a Bison pulled off a great jump and moved up in the standings, giving the Bison a 5 point lead. However, none of the runners in the 4x4 knew how the triple jump ended, so both teams thought the winner of the 4x4 would win the meet. Heading into turn 3 on the second leg there was a lot of jostling between the USD & NDSU runners at the front of the pack. NDSU and USD were running 1-2 the whole race, with NDSU pulling away down the home stretch and SDSU edging USD for 2nd at the finish. The USD runner was so upset, he tossed the baton.
Then things got interesting. The results of the race were challenged. The exact nature of the challenge(s) were never explained on the broadcast, so I have no idea for sure what items were being reviewed. I am guessing both USD & NDSU wanted the jostling in the second leg reviewed and perhaps they also reviewed the USD runner tossing the baton at the end of the race. If the Bison were DQ'ed the Yotes would have picked up 10 points and the Bison 0 giving USD the team championship. However, instead after an at least 30 minute wait, USD was DQ'ed and ended up with 0 points and finished in 2nd place in the team standings.
If anyone knows more of the details, please share them.

Missouri State will join Conference USA effective July 1, 2025 per this article. Will put the MVFC at 10 teams. Will put the MVC at 11 teams. Will be interesting to see the ripple effects.

When I saw the above offer to Dolliver, I thought to myself "I sure hope Coach E has already been in touch with Ashlyn". This confirms she certainly has.

Per Matt Brown's Extra Point Newsletter (you have to subscribe to read the full newsletter), Stephen F Austin may leave the WAC, which would bring the WAC down to 9 conference members, of which only 4 sponsor football. If that happens he has been told that multiple WAC members will explore other conference membership options. His newsletter states "Specifically, I’ve been told to monitor the Summit League as a potential destination for the Utah-based institutions..." There are 3 Utah schools in the WAC: Utah Valley, Southern Utah & Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State). Southern Utah & Utah Tech both sponsor football.
