I bought (paid for) season tickets at the Spring Game last season. Seating choices became available on July 1.

It was just announced that Colgate is coming to the Dome in 2012, SWEEEET. Is it ok to still use that word. I liked having relationships with the east coast FCS teams. USD also playing at Kansas State in 2015. Manhattan, Kansas - not a bad road trip to make.

From the UND board:
It looks like the nonconference schedule has the following for 2012..
Sept. 15 San Diego State San Diego, CA
TBD Central Arkansas Grand Forks, ND
TBD SDSM&T Grand Forks, ND
"The Hardrockers already have two NCAA contests set in football for 2012, with an away game at the University of North Dakota and a home date with Colorado School of Mines."
What??? So I guess the USD/UND series is over and 2011 is the last year we will play annually. This stinks and is something that needs fixed. We should be playing UND OOC every season. It is a long time rival against a quality FCS school within a days drive.

I agree - I had a good time at those games. They need to get the game going again - maybe the UCA game is being moved. It is the first year of conference play and they could be doing some shuffling. I think I will send an email to Faison and see if he replies.

How can you argue with the competition UND is going to face instead of USD! hahahahaha. Okay, this stinks that something couldn't be worked out, but I am wondering if one school avoiding the other, and yes, I am putting this on UND right now. Or, maybe the dates didn't match up...who knows I guess.

I just spent a little time on the Siouxsports board and the folks in GF are quite upset with their scheduling. Most folks are especially miffed that it looks like UND passed over a game with us in favor of a home game with SD Mines. Hard telling what's going on up there! I did hear Sayler today say that he's tried every means possible to tell UND that we'd be totally up for maintaing our rivalry.

So, a Griz poster on AGS has USD on their schedule for 11/10/12, and I hadn't seen that anywhere else. Any word on this for you guys? I admit I didn't go back through much of this thread, but was this a home / home?

Must have been a change then.
Original schedule I got from the MVFC had USD hosting Northern Iowa on Nov. 10, 2012.

That's a mistake, the poster must have been confusing us with North Dakota.

That's a mistake, the poster must have been confusing us with North Dakota. Thanks 53! I wasn't sure if that was correct or not.....

South Dakota Football to Play at Kansas in 2013
Vermillion, S.D. -- The South Dakota athletic department has announced that the Coyote football team will play the University of Kansas on Sept. 7, 2013, in Lawrence, Kan.
The game against the Jayhawks is the latest quality FBS school added to the South Dakota football schedule. South Dakota beat Big Ten foe Minnesota and faced Central Florida in 2010 and the Coyotes will play at Air Force and Wisconsin this fall.
“This game with Kansas fits perfectly into our football scheduling plan,” South Dakota Athletic Director David Sayler said. “Once we join the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 2012, Coyote fans can look forward to one FBS team a year from the Midwest that will offer them a chance to drive to catch South Dakota football in action on the road. Our football program is excited to continue to build on the success of beating Minnesota last year.”
In 2012, South Dakota will play at Big Ten foe Northwestern, and in 2015, the Coyotes will play at Big 12 foe Kansas State.
The Coyotes have played Kansas once – in 1900, when the Jayhawks prevailed 41-0. Kansas finished 3-9 in 2010, the school’s first under Coach Turner Gill. The Jayhawks beat No. 15-ranked Georgia Tech, 28-25, in Week 2.
South Dakota, entering its eighth season under Coach Ed Meierkort opens the 2011 season on Sept. 3 at Air Force.

So...
2011 Air Force & Wisconsin 2012 Northwestern 2013 Kansas 2014 TBD 2015 Kansas St
I'd like to see a Big 10 in that 2014 slot. Iowa is my first choice. Although ISU would be an easy roadtrip and a winnable game.

How about Pac 10 Colorado? But either Iowa school would be a good road trip.

Huskers, Hawkeyes, Cyclones, Illini, Buffaloes - in order of preference. Of course if new coach for the Gophers wants to keep on rotating through the 4 Dakotas, we should be up for a rematch in 2014
