Perhaps the so called fan needs to take out a petition to get the USD ticket office to change their procedures. I hear the Bison are pretty good at gathering signatures. Well, it is election season.

Are you referring to the signatures they have to collect to keep their unemployment benefits? More of a reference to this incident.

Christ what a bunch of sore spoiled brats. Imagine the whining if we win in addition to keeping them out, might crash their delusional forum I think it's pretty funny and sad at the same time the efforts your administration has to go to to try get butts of USD fans in the seats. Now talk about delusional

Actually, our administration is smart. They know the the USD fans will be there, the problem is USD fans are notorious for getting their tickets late and showing up day of the game and buying tickets at the gate. If they open up sales now NDSU fans will gobble them up, you know it and we know it. It's our home game and we will release tickets to the game as we see fit. If that means single game tickets don't go on sale until the day of the game at the walk-up window, so be it. If that means Bison fans don't get tickets to the game, we don't care. I have a feeling it won't come to that as there will be a surge of sales to USD fans at D-Days.

As far as filling the seats at games what is the average attendance at a yote game (not counting crickets and imaginary fans)?

Don't bother answering I found the numbers. According to Wiki the Dakota Dome capacity is 10k and you average 8k last year per game. Quite honestly given the product last year getting it 80% filled (assuming those numbers reported to the NCAA are right) isn't to bad. Not a sellout but better than some others.

Attendance could be better, but I do agree that averaging 8k fans per game last year isn't too bad considering we totaled 5 wins between 2012 and 2013. We are going to be winning a lot of football games very soon, let's see if the fair weather fans take notice and show their support when we are fighting for the playoffs.

I definitely get a kick out of how upset some of them are getting. Pretty sure we did this same exact thing against SDSU last year, and there wasn't anywhere near the complaints I am seeing now. Maybe if we beat these guys this year we won't have to do this tactic anymore in the future. A win against NDSU certainly isn't out of the question, incredibly tough but not impossible, and that's a sure way to get a ton of people interested in the program.

You are right, your administration can do what they want. Go from a sure sell out to hoping you have a great "walk up" sale happen. Great move, administration. Doesn't matter if the crowd was a 50/50 sell-out, or 7000 people total with 1000 Bison fans...it will sound like a Bison home game. Bison 42 - USD 7.

I don't want this to decend into smack talk, but I have to agree with RTO as you clearly still have tickets to sell. Granted, we have no definitive word on when general sales will start, but I will only buy that your admin had the correct strategy if you sell out the game. I will believe that is a possibility if they don't open up single game sales until the date of the game. (I can't believe they'd rather lose money than sell to NDSU fans which is what some are speculating on Bisonville.) If you are enjoying Bisonville now, if you somehow don't sell this thing out when you could have.....

Some of us are speculating this may be a question, but we're not certain.
