Hold on fools. Yes, there was a formal announcement that tickets will go on sale to the public at the end of the week, but I have it on rock solid authority that there are only a handful of tickets still available. I will be surprised if the "public" sale ends up accounting for even a couple hundred tickets. Look at it how you want, but the plan worked despite what you want to believe. Don't quote me on this, but as of last week (before homecoming), there were less than 1000 tickets left.
Further, I know that more than a couple USD fans have pledged to buy up a substantial portion of any remaining tickets through the ticket office, if there are any, before they go on sale to the public. At lease one of those fans has told me that he is more likely to watch those tickets be burned outside the gates than to sell them to any "mouth breathers in green and yella."

So I had to check out Bizunville as I've never been on the site. Wow, they are bent out of shape about the tickets, and I love every second of it. If you don't want to come to our "dump" of a town then stay up north. I hope they do not sell to the public until game day. No one wants you here. They are good for 5 years and they believe that they are supreme. Most of them can hardly spell or formulate a sentence! Seems to me that a lot of their alumni live in SD now, at least they know the good state.

Well our ticket site is saying Friday morning they are going on sale. Any fan that takes a glimpse at Bisonville would rather see any remaining tickets be burnt, those guys haven't whiffed reality in a while

And as I said earlier in this thread tickets were available at the window during the Dakota Days game. Anybody could walk up and buy one. I think we should retain the tickets for walk up sales only on the day fo the game. The game will sell out. The UNI game sold out, and while you might say "duh, that was D-Days" you should also take into account that as many people that were inside the Dome that day there were 10 times as many people outside the Dome, in the bars, and at house parties that had no intention of going to the game and it still sold out.
I have a sneaking suspicion by the time Friday rolls around there won't be many, if any, tickets left.

Just read Bizunville. Those people are going crazy over not being able to get tickets. Our home game, our rules boys. I guess Herbie sent one of them a letter saying they will go on sale this Friday at 9 AM. I am betting that by 8:59 AM that morning the game will be listed as SOLD OUT. That should burn the Bison fans something good.

Considering what they did, why would to put them on sale Friday unless a sell out was NOT imminent? That makes no sense for the reason you clearly stated.

Then, we can bury any ill will the correct way.

i will start this by saying I am a bison fan and the only thing I am upset about is your tix office at least be honest and don't bullshit anyone I was told 3 different answers to when tix will be available just go ahead and tell everyone when they will be available and don't jerk anyone around and I cant see how any other teams fanbase would not be pissed off either this is not just a bison thing. I cant see you guys being happy if this same thing would happen to you guys up here or at sdsu.

Only 400 tickets remain according to goyotes.com. Straight from the AD's mouth on that one!
Pretty sure we got a sellout on our hands

If it is true that there are limited tickets left for this game, I would say that the tactic of holding off public purchasing of the tickets worked. Hopefully this made USD fans realize that they should be buying tickets earlier, or joining the Howling Pack to get exclusive access to them.
If we were unable to sell out the dome anyways, I don’t know why NDST fans got all bent out of shape that the tickets weren’t publicly available. They should have been able to show up on game day and get front row seats without a worry. I mean the dome was going to be empty anyways. *end sarcasm*
Now lets hope that USD supporters try to buy the rest of the tickets before they go public to really sink the butthurt into the Bizun.

That post is easier to read if you place your tablet, smart phone or laptop screen flat on the floor and sprinkle a little ground pepper on the screen from a height of 18 inches: looks like punctuation.Inability to purchase tickets for games in the FargoDome is an accepted fact. Hats off to NDSU's supporters for taking all the tickets in the FargoDome...fans at all MVFC schools would love to have the same attendance figures. But the fact is, the most difficult place for a visitor to buy a ticket is the FargoDome. If Bison fans are having difficulty buying a ticket to a game in the DakotaDome, good for the 'Yotes. Now, up in Brookings, we just keep selling tickets. Everyone's invited!

I'm confident that this will be a sell-out as there have been assurances from some alumni and businesses that they would buy any remaining tickets before Friday.
