The only bright spot of the day was I found two more reason to despise the Bison Nation and all they represent. 1. The head coach complaining endlessly about every single flag that was thrown today including the flag that was thrown for the kick off that was out of bounds. Newsflash coach: that is a penalty that is 100% not subjective. 2. As I was walking to the dome with my children, I saw a NDSU fan in a wheelchair in need of some assistance getting into the dome. Several Bison fans rushed past this guy in a hurry to get into the doors (this was an hour before kickoff so it's not like they were going to miss the kickoff) and finally a few USD fans stopped to help this guy into the dome. SMH.

I can't believe this season has become such a nightmare. Doesn't seem like the Yotes have progressed much if at all. I just don't have a whole lot of energy for it right now. Will probably go to the KOOL FM 94.5 car show by the University of Phoenix Stadium tomorrow instead of watching the game. So call me a fair weather fan. It's gonna be mid 90's here. 48 to 3 will probably be about right with it being 24 to 0 by mid second quarter. Sorry to be such a downer. I was excited for this season too. Will check in when I get home. Maybe I will catch the last part of what would have to be called the greatest upset in FCS history. Won't be holding my breath though. If the Yotes don't show up and make this at least semi-respectable I may be done for the season. Wow, I'm in bad shape. Come on Coyotes! Seriously sd4ever. I am sick of hearing your stupid Facebook style posts. No one cares that you are going to your stupid car show in Arizona for a second time instead of watching or listening to the coyote game. You are right, you are a fair weather fan, just like your brother Mr. Coyotefan. Defense actually played a little bit better today. They played with some energy that we haven't seen in awhile. They just got stuck having to defend a short field too many times and also got worn out from being on the field so much because of all the 3 and outs on offense. Special teams also looked a little better. Still not sure why VanderMatten didn't want to take those few kick offs only a yard deep in the end zone though. Offense, I don't even know where to start. Joe Glenn called out Earl on the radio in the post game interview. Some people don't think they should call out individuals, but why not. This isn't high school. The whole offense needs to play a lot harder. I just don't get the play calling. I really don't. Have we not ever heard of a screen pass? We give up so much pressure the way it is, why not try it. At least it will keep them honest. Also, yoteforever is right. If some of the players don't like their position coaches, GET OVER IT. You were recruited to play college football. Just go out and play. After the first half the crowd was very sad. It is very sad to see coyote fans walking up the aisles with 4 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter to head home after an NDSU touchdown. Yeah we were getting beat on pretty good. It is frustrating! But you can't stay to support the Coyotes? We have WAY TOO MANY fair weather fans. We need to support OUR team no matter what.

Oh excuse me for having a little fun in life. He means you don't need to come to a coyote football message board and post about it. It is just clutter.

USD got beat by a much better team yesterday. Go listen to Coach Glenn and his post game interview. There are many reasons why I like this guy and this is one of them. He calls it the way it is. I guess if you want something to actually complain about then go to your defense: Bison had 524 total yards with 293 rushing.

Were there flags thrown that both coaches should have questioned and/or complained about? Yes. I think the point that is being made is that the Bison coach was complaining, crying, throwing his headset, etc. about 99% of the flags. I don't know what section you were sitting but I was in the 4th row right behind the bench and got to see the actions of the coach and some, but not all, of the complaining wasn't justified.

Well, if that is what Coyote fans want to complain about then go for it. Coaches complain and "work" the refs in every game on every team. I would complain about the Coyote offense only producing 243 yards. The last three Bison/Coyote games, the Bison have outscored the yotes by a combined 143-7....that is something to complain about.

Well fine, but coaching is a major reason we are 3 time champs on a 32 game win streak. They care, riding the refs is part of the game...but yeah that's fine See you next year

With all due respect to fellow regulars to this board, I don't see much value critiquing the behavior of individual opposing fans. I've seen plenty of our own fans do wildly uninformed, obnoxious things. I've had plenty of interactions with NDSU fans over the past several seasons, and I've had generally positive experiences. Our fans could learn a thing or two from them about passion -- maybe drawing the line at middle-aged men sporting overalls, clown wigs and painted faces. I'm more a jeans and logo-wear guy, but to each his own.
The gamesmanship of coaching staffs also doesn't excite me. Lobbying the officials is part of the game.
Our coaches and players need to accept full responsibility for Saturday's dreadful showing. I suppose we can engage in a philosophical debate about how to assign blame, but I'm of the belief that the buck stops at the highest level. The coaching staff is either failing to position these kids to succeed, or they've recruited the wrong players. Inspiration to perform falls on the coaching staff. Something is broken.

Perhaps it is time for a change in quarterbacks? My impression is that the offense may be more productive with Saeger (sp) at the helm.
I see Northern Arizona beat Eastern Washington yesterday. Maybe it makes us look a bit better.
By the way, keep posting SD4ever. I do believe you are the ultimate fair weather fan what with living in the Phoenix area and all! Seriously, I don't mind reading a few extra lines.

I don't understand why Jasper isn't flared to occasionally or split out so he can get the ball in space. He has great moves.

Iceman: I understand your frustration with people leaving early in these blowout games but also understand that there are some hardcore 'yote fans that travel several hours. If they leave a little early I'll certainly cut them some slack.

I don't understand why Jasper isn't flared to occasionally or split out so he can get the ball in space. He has great moves. Even when we swing the ball out to him, we don't have any receivers that can block. Maybe my memory is starting to work against the coyotes, but I can't remember a play in the last few seasons where we have made a guy miss in open space and produced significant yardage. It seems like every time we swing the ball out to the flats, a corner gets off his "block" from a wideout and wraps up our guys legs at the line of scrimmage. Jasper is pretty shifty, but he makes his living running inside and sneaking out of the backfield.

Was at the game and tailgate Saturday. Hope some of the coyote fans had a chance to walk through the Bison tailgate. Stopped and talked to a few people over there randomly and had nothing but good experiences and convos. As for the game, highlight for me was the gameday staff getting the t shirt cannon stuck in the FG net. Not much to say about the game other than NDSU could have ran for 500 yards. Our inability to defend the run off tackle was mind blowing. pathetic. That is all.
